Oregon Tied for Most Starters Returning in Pac-12
This is always stat that gets noticed. It's great if the team had a good season the year before, but if that year was a struggle, it could be problematic.

Transfer Portal Honesty
I'd be fine with that. All the "This was a really tough decision, " I can do without. If it was so tough, and they still left, then it wasn't that tough. Again, "Once a Duck, always a Duck" is the most disingenuous of all. Is Dye still a Duck next season while he's wearing the Trojans uniform?

Does Oregon Need to Have An SEC Mindset?
Wildcats is off the top of my head most common. UCONN shares Huskies with some irrelevant team from somewhere. Bears, Baylor, Cal, Bruins are a type of Bear. The Ducks play Cougars twice in a row, BYU, WSU next season.

OT: 2001 Mariners, Historic or Historic Flop
There has to be a correlation between the proximities of the Huskies and the Pro teams in Seattle. The M's, the only team to never play in the WS had the chance to be the Greatest Team Ever, and instead become the greatest chokers ever. The Sonics did win a championship, but don't exist anymore. The Seahawks could have, I say should have, been back to back SB Champs but for a ridiculous pass that was intercepted!.

OT: 2001 Mariners, Historic or Historic Flop
I was excited, it's Opening Day, but the Mariners and Twins were rained out. The Mariners have a chance to do something this season, which of course takes me back to 2001, when they really did do something! 116 wins, led MLB in most runs scored and fewest runs allowed. Ichiro led the league in batting, won the Rookie of the Year and MVP. But, at the end, all the Mariners accomplished was a win in the first round of the playoffs, If they had gone onto win the World Series the 2001 Mariners would have rock solid claim to being the greatest baseball team in history. Instead, a huge choke!

Does Oregon Need to Have An SEC Mindset?
Thank you, I can definitely see this! War Eagles in necessary because LSU is also "Tigers" which has to be maddening to both teams. I'm not even able to comeup with Vandy's nickname

247: 2022 Projected Pac-12 Win Totals
Simpatico up to UCLA, where I am more optimistic. I see a 5-0 start, W's at Colorado and home against Washington before a L against Utah in the Rose Bowl. But after an L to Oregon the Bruins get W's over Stanford and AZ before what should be a highly contested game against SC, before finishing up with a W over Cal.

Great point, one that Scott Frost didn't see coming.- Great Interview: Insider Pulls Back Curtain on Oregon Ducks Football
I don't think it was ever that close to Thompson really replacing Brown. He did a "serviceable" job, won 10 games. The two against Utah weren't because of who was the QB, putting Thompson in either of those games might have set him back. The quarterback competition looks to be going well, and I think will produce more than a "serviceable" quarterback.- What? Hottest Day of the Year Expected Tomorrow, Followed by Snow!
- Trademarks, Hashtags and Swagger Cause a Pac-12 Stir
Swagger is and has been rare in the Pac-10-12. USC had it with Carroll, Oregon had it with Chip, in fact I think Chip's Oregon team's set the standard for Swagger. The U had Swagger.
