Vandy went 10-2 and lost to 8-4 Iowa in the postseason. Illinois defeated Tennessee, another SEC behemoth, in Nashville, Tennessee. But, by all means, Greg Stankey, break away from the rest of the national riffraff with a conference that extends east-west from Columbia, South Carolina all the way to Norman, Oklahoma, and north-south from Lexington, Kentucky to Gainesville, Florida. I hope the SEC is enjoying its media days in Tampa(ering), Florida, where there is humidity but no humility.

If I EVER would root for OBD to go 12-0, this would be the year. They have a realistic shot at running the table like Indiana did last year. But again-Dante Moore will have to play like he's facing NFL defenses. He will have to throw open receivers, teach guys how to find open windows in Zone coverage, and be able to find open guys in under 2 seconds. Julien Sayin is in the same boat. Both of these QBs have to assume their respective offensive lines cannot handle Elite pass rushing defenses. That requires a mindset of teaching and finding open receivers in a snap of a finger. Guys will have to make it easy for both to find them without defenses preventing easy receptions. I am going to write an article about that very topic. I think Moore is close to being there. But I am assuming for now it is because he throws to who he is comfortable with. I'll let you know soon what I believe he will have to develop in order to be the Maestro of College Football. OREGON’S 2028 RUNNING BACK SEARCH IS ALREADY GOING NATIONALA thin group of elite West Coast backs means the Ducks will need to lean on Texas ties, national recruiting and early evaluation. Oregon’s search for a 2028 running back is unlikely to remain close to home. Only two of the top 25 running backs in the early rankings can reasonably be considered West Coast prospects. That leaves the Ducks facing an important reality as they begin constructing their board: maintaining the program’s running back pipeline will require a national recruiting effort. Oregon has already demonstrated that it can recruit elite players from nearly every part of the country. The 2028 running back cycle may require the Ducks to use that reach more aggressively than usual. Texas will be particularly important. The state has multiple prospects who have already received Oregon attention, and Ra’Shaad Samples gives the Ducks a recruiter with deep relationships and credibility throughout the region. Oregon quarterbacks coach Koa Ka’ai joins the Autzen Audibles Podcast for an extensive conversation about his first offseason leading the position group and the development taking place inside one of the Ducks’ most important rooms. Ka’ai discusses the additional responsibilities he has taken on since moving into the position, including Oregon’s demanding recruiting schedule and the opportunity to put his own stamp on the quarterback room after spending more than two years working alongside former offensive coordinator Will Stein. The former Oregon player explains the identity he wants his quarterbacks to establish. Stein led top 5 offenses 3 years in a row, and had the best cumulative scoring average for those 3 years in the country. We all got tired of the bubble screens. But you can't argue with the results. We've been great on offense under Stein and sent more offensive players to the league than we ever had before. I hope he kills it in the sec and I'll be cheering for his success. Just think, the better Stein does, the better Lanning looks, and the easier it will be for the Ducks to acquire the best coaches, and the best players, in the future.
