  1. I'm not from Texas, but I think somethings not right when Mike Leach is not coaching Texas Tech. 😉
  2. Coaching Carousel: See Texas Longhorns Football. I'm not from Texas. But when Texas is not in the top 10, something seems off.
  3. Actually, it might have been Darron Thomas in 2011. The Ducks won, whichever year, but the ball was wet. During a pass it slipped out much like it did for Jameis Winston during the CFP game. 🙂 I'd rather see the stallions run on Saturday.
  4. Looks to be a wet game, too. I seem to recall Mariota throwing a complete whiff in Seattle one wet, cold, and dark night.
  5. Yep. I'll have the Duck's first Natty win on my DVR watching them win again and again in January!
  6. I don't want to lose a boat, but I think I have the same perspective as Mike. Basically, if I am shooting to be THE BEST, then I want to fear no one. I don’t think the Ducks are good enough, yet, to win it all, but if they need to play OSU again or Georgia or whomever and they get their teeth knocked in, they'll learn from first hand experience what it is like to play at the the "next level". And if they win or play competitively, it will boost confidence. It is a win/win. Alabama, Georgia, OSU, etc. didn't get "there" by playing ACC teams all season, for example.
  7. I've always said if someone started a 16 team NIT for the CFB teams outside the top 4 Cfp teams starting in early December, ESPN's CFP would fold.
  8. We'll never know how many guys forget about the Portal because of Saturday. Go Ducks!
  9. I have separation anxiety. I was traumatized after the Blazers won the championship and instead of going into the locker room celebration the network jumped to a golf broadcast, of all things. Oregon is the Rodney Dangerfield of national sports. I have to say, the plus side was tuning into a 14-0 Duck lead.
  10. Oh bother! ABC will mis-manage the previous game so it will start on ESPNU Español, which I don't receive. -- Eeyore
  11. Some random thoughts... The O breaks out for 32 first downs! Cardwell reminds me of Tyner. I'm excited to see more. I don't recall watching a TD pass thrown while a Buffalo was twisting a Duck's webfoot. Another 4 4th down attempts against the Ducks. I'm wondering if the Ducks have ever had to face so many 4th down attempts in a season. I think the D needs to do a better job of getting the opponent's offense off the field before they reach Duck territory. Go Ducks!
  12. Coachless WSU making a statement against ASU?
  13. Bend don't break is an excuse for not forcing a 3 and out. I don't believe in that philosophy at all.
  14. ESPN last week, too. They control the commercial breaks. I'm beyond annoyed!! At least bring up a picture in picture with no audio. I'll get a bigger screen and write it off as a medical expense!!
  15. Honestly, I would love to see fans encourage AB before he ever takes a snap. He has limits, sure. But he's the leader of the O and I think it just might di more good if he knew folks are earnestly rooting for him to succeed. Go Ducks!
  16. Unfortunately, negative news gets more viewers, listeners, and clicks. Add a villain to the mix and things get juicier. I've resigned myself to believe the coaches know exactly the why's regarding the angst. But they are between a rock and a hard spot. I'm thinking Brown really is the best option and the coaches know it's not a great situation, but if they don't back him 100%, his confidence could take a dive along with his performance and a backup would be worse than Brown is today. So they need Brown. The plays called will be the best option for him to succeed. Brown's our guy. In the meantime, the media will do what they've always done to get more advertising $$$$$...so they add a villain to their story. It worked.
  17. I posted this previously. Personally, I think DP's numbers are a little better than AB's and he was replaced at the end of game 5 by a Freshman we all know and ❤. But back then the Ducks were backsliding.
  18. I'm not going to take a guess, but I'm not going to panic if CO marches down and scores a TD in the 1st qtr. It can happen to the best Ds at all levels. I think MC's players over the years do a great job of not letting pressure keep them from coming back and playing well. Once the Ducks get in the groove and I hope on the first series, they will keep the pressure on. Let's get some Freshmen good reps Saturday! That's my hope anyway....Go Ducks!
  19. Haha, if MC pulls the laminated page out and calls the Pistol, that literally is shooting from the hip. 🤠
  20. His numbers are about on par with ABs. But I think he was better. He seemed to lose confidence due to the pressure of high expectations. I'm not sure the receiving corps was as good then as this year, either.
  21. WOW! They call it the TFL/First Down option.
  22. Maybe someone else will rise up and be a stronger, more dedicated, loyal, and diverse Duck. "Thinning trees while they're young makes a stronger forest when they are old. " -- Louis McGee, Georgia Pacific Cat Skinner
