Thanks, Steven.

Wow! Heck of a threat there, Jamie. I guess my dream of the Big Ten merging into the B12 and annual trips to Ames, Lubbock, and Waco isn't going to happen. 🤪

Jamie's a bit off on the number of teams in the Power 2 conferences; it's not 20 teams, Sir, it's 38. In what sport is 38 teams not enough? Man, I feel sorry for the NFL with its measly 32 teams.

I may be mistaken, but I believe the B12 has 16 teams, no?

If the B1G and the SEC split, if they're so inclined, do you think a few teams from your conference wouldn't accept an invitation to join 'The Show' and play ball in the major leagues and not the minors?

I can hear Cody Campbell loud and clear: Thanks for the invite, but at Texas Tech, we really like where we're at, playing in front of fewer fans for less money.

Jamie, 24 of your Cyclones spun out of Ames and the B12 and into Penn State. Why? They want to play on a B1Gger stage in a place where they will be watched by millions more fans while playing for more money.

How stupid are they, right?

Hell hath no fury like an AD scorned.

And here we thought there were only three Stooges!

Just like Oregon State and Washington State leveling claims of traitors to their more successful in state rivals. Iowa State would jump at an invite to the SEC or B1G. This AD would jump to Penn State or dare I say Iowa.. because you know the money. There's a saying about casting stones when you live in a glass house.

Hurt people, hurt people. It sucks to get dumped or not get invited to the party. But what a healthy and self assured individual does, is say nothing. You move on, keep improving yourself.

Iowa State has had a very good football program under Campbell, but they were atrocious before. They have had a decent basketball program since the early 2000's. But football drives expansion, and Iowa State just didn't do enough to make them attractive enough. There are certain things they can't help, it's geography and having an instate college already in one of the big two, while residing in a State with a small populace just sucks. But they are incredibly lucky to still be in a P4 league, and it's much more regional friendly league to a smaller athletic department like them.
