A talented group of running backs consisting mainly of CJ Verdell, Travis Dye and Bucky Irving also provided explosion on the ground, with wide receiver Troy Franklin scoring a number of long touchdowns as well.But that was all out West in the Pac-12. Surely, the explosive nature of the Ducks' offense wouldn't continue in the rugged, Midwest-tough Big Ten, right?To much surprise, when Oregon realigned conferences and joined the Big Ten, the explosive plays have not dropped off one bit. In fact, the Ducks offense ranks second in the nation in explosive plays (defined as a run of 10 or more yards and a pass of 15 or more yards) over the last five years with a whopping mark of 842, according to PFF.
