It means the nature of the work has changed.Brayden Parks remains a difficult pull from Notre DameOregon has made this recruitment much more competitive than it once appeared it would be. The Ducks gave Parks a legitimate reason to consider leaving the Midwest and traveling nearly 1,800 miles from home. The defensive scheme, opportunity for early playing time and Oregon’s broader trajectory all helped the staff close the gap.Still, Notre Dame offers something Oregon cannot replicate: proximity, familiarity and deep family connections.Oregon still leads for Brayton FeisterThe situation with Brayton Feister is different.Feister had planned to announce his commitment July 11, but a serious personal matter within his circle forced him to postpone the decision. That leaves the Ducks facing an important reality as they begin constructing their board: maintaining the program’s running back pipeline will require a national recruiting effort.Oregon has already demonstrated that it can recruit elite players from nearly every part of the country. The 2028 running back cycle may require the Ducks to use that reach more aggressively than usual.Texas will be particularly important.
