“We’re like a Tier Zero school when it comes to Nike, so we’re always getting things that other schools won't—testing and whatnot,” Mitchell Godfrey, Oregon football’s assistant equipment manager, told Oregon On SI. “Here at practice, we’re wearing jerseys that won’t even be in design for four or five years from now. We kind of call ourselves the guinea pigs of college football.”

Remember 2021 when 6 people were out with foot injuries? I blamed Nike then and this only reinforced my opinion.

I remember another time when we tried out a new style of helmet and everyone got headaches, thank goodness it was just the off-season. There are pros and cons to this.
