No slight on Underwood, I would say this about any athlete facing his situation. However, you can bet the student in the athlete will now use that knowledge to seek guaranteed contracts.Michigan football rumors: Bryce Underwood's $12 million contract could be terminated after season if Wolverines give up on him
2 hours ago2 hr No. We have Akili who may be a better version of Underwood already, and with Saleapaga and the Oregon State QB out there we have way better adjacent options than Underwood.

2 hours ago2 hr Moderator No. As a tight end? Maybe. But how much of the budget would this guy demand?Michigan players and fans are not happy with how OC Jason Beck, who followed Whit from Utah, has changed the O from the smashmouth, downhill O under Harbaugh. Underwood is a team captain; what will the response be if he is 'cut' in favor of Freshman Tommy Carr, Notre Dame QB CJ Carr's younger brother? This would put Tommy under the gun.😁 At Utah, Beck had a legit dual-threat QB in Deven Dampier, who Beck also coached at New Mexico. This O is RPO-oriented and designed for smaller, quicker O-line athletes. The D under former BYU DC Jay Hill has been superb. The word out of Ann Arbor says Michigan has a fractured locker room. With this defense, if Michigan had any kind of offense, it would be 5-0 heading into the Off Week and not 3-2, which could and should be 2-3.Michigan better figure something out before a Week 7 game vs. Penn State, also floundering under an experienced head coach, and Indiana in Week 8. NIL deal not guaranteed? Brilliant!

46 minutes ago46 min No. Guaranteed Contracts? Really? There is a specific reason we start experienced QBs. It's called potential will get me fired. Why are teams paying kids who don't even understand the game millions of dollars? They aren't selling tickets. And correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't seen a freshman QB win a Natty this Century. That's because coaches are way ahead of any freshman stepping foot on a football field. These schools are acting as foolish as NFL teams.Money Ball. It's time to start acting like the Patriots and the Steelers. They always make the playoffs, they pay players like the employees they are, and their cultures breed excellence.Kinda sick of entitled athletes thinking they can create a whole ecosystem and generate the kind of demand to pay their salaries by themselves.
