OBD and the Cornhuskers are on the wrong side of the Plus/Minus Week 6 ledger.

Lane Kiffin is now 13-13 in SEC road games. The game vs. Kentucky went to OT because the KY FG kicker barfed twice.

Raiola's terrible performance against the Bruins hopefully sets the stage for a great rebound story against his former team.👍👌🤞

Five of UCLA's seven remaining games are home games. The two road games are at Minnesota and Michigan. But in cold weather.

East to West travel and Fox airing OK State at Houston in the 7:30 Eastern time slot means a 10 PM body clock start for the Cornhuskers and a Sunday PM return for the team and a late-night drive home for many Ducks fans.

An all-day hosing of the Big Ten by Fox. 11 AM Central KO for Ohio State vs. Indiana, and an 11 PM Eastern KO for the Ducks game, with a prime-time KO for the B12.

ABC/ESPN does everything it can to carry SEC games at the most opportune times to capture top viewer numbers.

Big Ten Releases Initial Availability Report for Oregon vs. Nebraska

The initial availability report for the Oregon Ducks against the Nebraska Cornhuskers was released Wednesday evening.

Oregon quarterback Dante Moore will miss his second straight game since sustaining a concussion against USC in Los Angeles. Starting safety Aaron Flowers will also be unavailable and is “Done for the foreseeable future,” head coach Dan Lanning said Wednesday after the defensive back underwent surgery for a shoulder injury.

Wide receiver Evan Stewart is a new addition to the report and is listed as questionable. The Ducks are already without Jeremiah McClellan, potentially for the rest of the season, after he suffered a broken foot in warmups for the Portland State game.

The Ducks and Cornhuskers kick off at 8:00 PM PT in Eugene. The game will be broadcast on Fox.

The 3 Oregon WRs who could step into a pivotal role with Evan Stewart's injury
The 3 Ducks wide receivers who could start if Evan Stewart's sidelined
Jalen Lott - Freshman
  • 2026 Stats: 1 catch for 6 yards

There was incredible preseason hype for Oregon 5 star signee Jalen Lott, even with the fact that he was a late enrollee. The hype for Lott was slowed due to the fact that he needed hand surgery, but he finally debuted last weekend with a catch for 6 yards. Now that Lott is healthy enough to play, Dan Lanning and the staff may look to see what he can do in an expanded role, with the offense looking for answers.

Iverson Hooks - UAB Transfer
  • 2026 stats: 1 catch for 6 yards

Given all of the talent that Oregon had coming back at wide receiver, the Ducks didn't need to go out and add any via the Transfer Portal, but the staff still added UAB star Iverson Hooks. Coming off a 927 yard season, Hooks was expected to make a big impact to the point that he was named to the preseason Biletnikoff Award watchlist. Hooks hasn't had much of a chance to prove himself this season, but if Stewart is ruled out, he could finally start to push for playing time.

Gatlin Bair - Freshman
  • 2026 stats: 3 catches for 25 yards

Dan Lanning and his staff signed Gatlin Bair as a 5-star recruit out of High School, but he often flies under the radar due to the fact that he took a year off to serve a mission. The Ducks have gotten glimpses of Bair's ability in the Portland State game, but as the injuries continue to pile up, Bair is slowly moving up the rotation. Given the fact that Bair missed a year away from football, getting him more reps will only help him regain the form that made him such a highly sought after recruit.

All depends on the defense. No matter who starts at QB we have to control the ball. We can’t get into a shoot out. We don’t have the offensive coaching talent to out scheme anyone. Don’t turn the ball over and hold Nebraska to under 20 points and we can win.

The Ducks need to win 8 games plus a bowl to build momentum for next year. The CFP is gone. This is not the same team as in previous years.

Maybe they start Akili, no tape on him could work to our advantage.

Style points don’t matter, winning

does. Forget comparisons to other Duck teams they don’t apply. Lanning screwed the pooch with his assistant hires. He will lose players to the portal, pick up a few. But there is talent enough to have a very good year next year. Our non-conference schedule is easy.

I picked us to win tomorrow in a grinder game.

Dan Lanning needs 5 Oregon Ducks to be X-Factors to pull out win over Nebraska
The 5 Oregon Ducks who could prove pivotal vs. Nebraska
Jordon Davison - Running Back

While Dan Lanning hasn't named a starting quarterback for Saturday Night, the Ducks offense would get a massive lift if the running game started to find a rhythm. Over the first two games of Big Ten play, Jordon Davison has had 29 carries for just 107 yards, averaging just 3.69 yards per carry. The Ducks are still looking for their first 100 yard rushing performance, and it would take a ton of pressure off whoever starts at quarterback.

Jamari Johnson - Tight End

Drew Mehringer's biggest flaw at the moment is the fact that he's not finding a way to get his biggest playmakers involved in the game. Jamari Johnson waited until the 57th minute of the UCLA game to get his first target, which is unacceptable. Getting Johnson involved early is going to be a priority, and he's going to need to make the most out of his targets.

Dakorien Moore - Wide Receiver

Dakorien Moore continues to do more with less as he led the team with 77 yards on just 4 catches. The quarterbacks would have life made much easier on themselves if Drew Mehringer designed touches for Moore, as he's electric after the catch. There may not be a more talented player on the team than Moore, and it's time for the staff to start using him like every other school uses their star wideouts. If Evan Stewart is ruled out for the game, Moore is going to be the elder statesman in the room, and will have to take pressure off the freshmen.

Na'eem Offord - Cornerback

Oregon's defense wasn't the issue vs. UCLA, but Na'eem Offord did get beat on the opening drive for a 62 yard gain while allowing 2 catches for 88 yards on the day. Nebraska star wide receiver Jacorey Barney lines up the most on the outside, meaning Offord is going to draw that matchup often. The Ducks can't afford to let Barney beat them in this game, and Na'eem Offord is going to have to do his best to make a big impact.

Matayo Uiagalelei - Edge Rusher

Part of the reason Oregon was even in the UCLA game despite the offense's struggles was the dominance of the Ducks' defensive line. Matayo Uiagalelei played his best game of the season with 7 tackles and a pair of sacks against the Bruins. Hopefully, the UCLA game serves as the start of a hot streak for Uiagalelei, as the defense is going to need to step up the rest of the way until Dante Moore returns.
