  2. I know Brock Thomas didn’t quite finish the comeback (he would have if we would just kicked extra points), but seeing a hometown amateur athlete come in to potentially become a hero is why I fell in love with college football. I miss watching amateur student athletes playing with nothing to lose for the love of the game. The ones who know they’ll never go pro and are playing their last football of their lives. The 2026 Ducks will go down as definitive proof that it takes a lot more than one of the most expensive football rosters in the country loaded with 4/5 star talent to field a good football team. Give me Brock Thomas and other players and coaches who are there for the love of the game. It is what it is. Now is where real players play for pride and real coaches coach out of pride. Let’s get to 4-2. P.S. I have no idea if Brock gets some NIL, but I’m sure it’s not much.
  3. There is a college football advanced statistician who said that Mehringer was a terrible hire before the season started. He is one of the worst offensive coordinators in college football. If I’m not mistaken, Rutgers was one of the worst offenses in all of college football under Mehringer and they got better after he left. Coordinators usually don’t get better with time - they show you exactly who they are early in their careers. You either have it or you don’t.
  4. After a bye week, the offense was clearly not ready. But I was super impressed with how the defense is coming along. Since I have not yet retired, I'm not sure I want to watch this on my Sat afternoons. I will probably just watch replays from now on. I could go into a deep hole on this, but I won't. They took way too long to switch QBs. That is all I will say about the details. Their playoff chances are done unless they win out and beat down Ohio St. and start looking like a playoff team. The defense today looked every part a playoff defense except for a couple of blown assignments. I believe this game happened due to the OC hire. So that part is very fixable. They still almost pulled it out. Lanning can hire an offensive "consultant" and try to clean up this mess. I hope he does and does it this week. Even after all the bad play this year with one of college's best rosters, I am still optimistic on the Ducks, but Lanning has to learn and grow as a head coach. So as a fan, how I see this team has changed. They have good players, but their coaching and managing has to become elite or they will keep laying eggs from time to time. The OC hire is starting to look as bad as the the Brady Hoke DC hire. But as long as the team has great players, I am confident they can recover.
  5. I hoped we would not regret that stupid call for a field goal at the time... Simple math.... No worries though, win all the rest and most likely we are in.. Don't think there is any qb controversy brewing anyways lol... I personally think if we d brought in Akili for second half we probably win..
  6. Exactly what I was saying. I was hoping Gambling Dan was a thing of the past after the USC before half field goal. There is no benefit to early game gambles. The possible negatives on the other hand can haunt you the rest of the game.
  7. I just gotta say one thing: As bad as we played, and we were HORRIBLE!, we still had a shot at winning this game! Chesney is good, but he didn't beat us. 6 t/o. We beat ourselves. So don't everyone give up, just yet.
  8. And looking back now was that a good decision?
  9. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do now. I expect a Penn State finish to the season. It’s all about preparing for the NFL now and not getting injured.
  10. Would have no problem with that, I don't want anybody to think I'm a fan of Mehringer, I just don't think I have an idea of his talent since the O-line has been such a disaster, hard to call anything when the line isn't making any holes or holding up in pass protect.
  11. Sometimes I feel like Mario is back with these runs up the middle that everyone knows is coming and an offensive line that's not capable of making it happen.
  12. You are not going to win any games with 7 turnovers and with bad passing. Best thing about the Duck game today was the uniforms.
  13. Yes, Then there is the stupid wildcat nonsense and not pulling Railoa at halftime
  14. Bring in a great OC and let him build out his own staff.
  15. Coach Lanning cost his team this game when he went for the first FAILED 2-point conversion. What was he thinking? If he kicks the extra point then they dont have to go for 2 after the last TD. They could have kicked the extra point and the game is tied. That is on DL.......
  16. I just don't think that he's the problem, I agree he hasn't been good, but Terry has had years to show he can develop his own lineman, and the result is the worst O-line I can ever remember for Oregon. It's atrocious, everything starts with them, they can't run block, they can't pass block, they get confused easily, they haven't shown any development at all. Last year we had Pregnon (transfer), Harkey (transfer), World (transfer), and while Harkey and World weren't outstanding, they at least were serviceable, Pregnon was a stud. Everyone other than maybe Pancho has been abysmal.
  17. It's going to happen, it's just a matter of time now.
  18. I am with you. Everything has felt "off" this year (I don't count Portland State). The defense finally played up to what I thought they could do this year, but when the offense gives back 6 possessions, that is asking a lot. So much to try to digest on this one.
  19. That's my vote too. I was at that game and still cheered for the team when the outcome was obvious. I yelled "Go Ducks, Go Defense" and the crowd around me literally laughed.

  21. Raiola needs to go. Rip the bandaid off and get rid of him. Show some ball Lanning
  22. I still support my Beloved Ducks. I have tonse this train wreck before I comment. One thing is certain, train is off the tracks. Whatever derailed it is a massive undertaking to get it back to "standard" at this point.
  23. It was absolutely painful. I had zero confidence that we would be able to get into field goal range after the stop. Everything was out of sync on offense. But it has kinda felt that way all year.
  24. Superstar Jordon Davison exits game vs. UCLA with injury as nightmare day continues for OregonAutzen ZooSuperstar Jordon Davison exits game vs. UCLA with injury...The Oregon Ducks are currently on the ropes against the UCLA Bruins as Bob Chesney's team holds a 17-6 lead early in the 4th quarter. 25. 6 turnovers. What else needs to be said?
  26. I never in a million years thought we would have a worse offensive performance than Mario's worst offensive game, but I think this was it.
