  7. Can Oregon Replicate '23 Michigan and '24 Ohio State? The Big Ten is on a roll right now in the College Football Playoff. Three straight National Championships with Michigan in 2023, Ohio State in 2024, and Indiana in 2025. Will that streak continue in 2026 and will it be Oregon who finally claims the crown? On3Can Oregon Replicate '23 Michigan and '24 Ohio State?Michigan and Ohio State brought back experience and talent in 2023 and 2024 - they won championships. Will Oregon follow suit in 2026?
  8. So much for Villanova forward Duke Brennan becoming a Duck. He just signed with the Oklahoma Sooners. Just wondering if Altman is still looking for another big guy or is the basketball roster set. He does have 15 players already, which is the limit. But two of those guys are walk-on's so they could be cut from the team.
  9. Absolutely. Jon Wilner, writing for the San Jose Mercury News had an offer last year that I couldn't pass up. Two years for only six dollars. Money well spent. And this latest offer is even better. If you like to read about football (and basketball) schools other than OBD, he is the go-to guy for excellent information.

  17. PRACTICE 12 REPORT: OREGON’S DEFENSE IS LEARNING TO SPEAK WITH ONE VOICEBRIAN MICHALOWSKI WANTS JERRY MIXON TO BECOME THE VOICE CONNECTING THE ENTIRE DEFENSE, RASHAD WADOOD SEES A SECONDARY MORE COMMITTED TO COLLECTIVE GROWTH THAN INDIVIDUAL STANDING, AND OREGON’S EXPANDING PERSONNEL FLEXIBILITY KEEPS POINTING TOWARD THE SAME GOAL: GET THE BEST 11 ON THE FIELD WITHOUT LOWERING THE STANDARD.There has been no shortage of discussion about Oregon’s defensive talent during fall camp. The defensive front may be one of the deepest groups in the country. The secondary has enough options that players can be moved between spots without creating obvious holes elsewhere. The linebacker room has experience, speed and enough young talent behind it that the Ducks can continue developing the future while preparing for the present. Practice 12 offered a better question than simply asking how talented all of those pieces might be. Can Oregon make them operate together? 22. WEDNESDAY WAR ROOM: OREGON’S COMPETITION IS ABOUT TO GET EXPENSIVEThe Ducks spent the first half of fall camp creating options. After the first scrimmage, the next stage is deciding which players receive the repetitions, roles and trust that come with Saturdays. For most of August, Oregon could afford to talk about competition almost entirely in positive terms. Dan Lanning wanted six, seven or eight offensive linemen capable of winning football. Chris Hampton insisted nobody owned a starting position. Drew Mehringer called Oregon a meritocracy, while position coaches throughout the roster described depth as an opportunity to develop more players rather than a problem that needed to be solved immediately. The first scrimmage changed the equation because competition eventually has to produce consequences. Lanning explained afterward that Oregon would grade players on two questions, whether they were accountable enough to perform their responsibility and capable enough to physically execute it. Then he attached playing time to the answer. “If you’re not, then you’re going to get limited reps,” Lanning said. “If you do, then you’ll continue to grow on this team.” Wednesday War Room: Oregon’s competition is about to get...Oregon Ducks football, Dan Lanning, Oregon recruiting, college football, NIL, Big Ten, Pac-12, Scott Reed, Duck Sports Central, recruiting news

  25. As you know, the forum traffic is much slower because the vast majority are here during football season, and haven't found us yet. Many others have no way or understanding of how to find us, so I need a number of volunteers to... Make ten phone calls a day for ten days....that is it. If you chat with people, that is fine, but you can simply leave a voicemail message about the forum moving to a new web address, and I will provide a script to read off of, and the list for each of you. Each day will not take long, and if you want to do it in half the time or less--go for it! Can you help me out? There are a LOT of phone calls to make, and I can't make them all. We need to let people know, and the group email sent out twice did not work well. By letting these OBD forum members know where we are--you help yourself, and everyone here have a more enjoyable Oregon football season coming up. Can YOU help? Email me charlesfobd@gmail.com and PLEASE consider donating time for what could be not long for ten days. I do guarantee one thing; if you chat with people, you will make new friends who are wonderful Duck fans and people. Fun conversations, as I love this community. Help me Bring Them Back....
