  2. Thanks for the updates, LH. Here's the 24-team PO question. No. 1 Ohio State went to Austin, Texas, lost to No. 4 Texas by one point, and dropped 5 spots in the AP Poll. No. 9 Texas A&M lost at home to an unranked Kentucky team. Where will A&M rank in the Coaches and AP Polls? Will A&M drop to No. 14 or lower?
  3. The Trojans looked very beatable today. Hopefully that team shows up next Saturday.
  4. Raiola is also much more mobile than Dante Moore, which would be a big help with this year's offensive line. By no means am I hoping for it, but It would be very interesting to see what Coach Lanning would do, if the Ducks were down big at halftime against USC.
  5. He predicted what the score should have been. Hey Dan, kneel down next time (unless it is sc, Ohio St. or ewe dub
  6. Bama down 8 with 2 min to play in the half to Seminole. Would love to see Bama go down today
  7. 42-35, USC with four and a half minutes left.....
  8. My Duck-Buddies....the forum is a big money-loser now, and I have to watch expenses very closely, since most of it comes out of my pocket these days. I am working to get the "Donate" button fixed, but there are other issues associated with it that I have to solve first. So I cannot afford photographers, or I get a picture like the background one you see now....but I am paying almost nothing for it. Well, I wanted pictures from the USC game this next weekend if we win, and I asked a superb photographer I know if he knew of anyone who would shoot it in LA this next weekend for free? He found a young woman who is building her photo library, and is excited to shoot for us. So I applied, but since we are now NOT an article site, but a forum--I doubted we would be approved. But I received the email today that we were approved! Now the parking there is TERRIBLE, but she got a media parking pass! Fantastic news, and I hope to have pictures to share with next Sunday and beyond. So COOL! I have been lucky to have some great photographers shoot in the Coliseum over the years, and we have collected great photos. But that is when we created enough revenue from advertising to pay the bills of both sites, but there was one year where I was running short, and hired a young woman to shoot the USC game for free like this time. She agreed to shoot the game for free for the experience, as she primarily shot Ballet and Operas, but wanted to dip into sports, so this was 'taking a chance' for both of us. Turns out she shot some good pictures for us, and created a FishDuck story that will never be forgotten. She was standing on the sidelines waiting for a good play as an older refined gentleman pulled up next to her. She figured he knew football better than she, and asked a question about what was going on in order to plan her next shooting location. He answered politely, and they began to have quite an interesting conversation, as she wanted to know more about the game, the Oregon football team etc. and this distinguished-looking older gentleman was very kind in supplying her the answers. He asked her who she was shooting for, and she told him "FishDuck.com," the unique circumstances behind this shooting, and he responded that he knew the site well, and was pleased she was shooting for us. They went on to have quite a long conversation, and she reported later that he appeared to be quite satisfied with this extended conversation. She even asked him to watch her camera on a tripod as she had to run down the sideline to check something....so he did. They introduced themselves to each other early in this interaction, and proceeded as nice people do. When she got back home, she communicated with other photographers, and then later it was confirmed by media people nearby who saw the conversations taking place. If you had not guessed by now... She was talking to Phil Knight, and did not know who he was. He clearly detected immediately that she knew nothing of him or his impact upon Oregon, and thus he could now have a "regular" conversation with someone who was not obsequious, or catering to him. He enjoyed this exchange, and I'm sure her cultural background made the brief connection that much more interesting for Phil. She had no idea!
  9. Stein get the W over aTm. #9 goes down.
  10. Today
  11. PSU was 0-9 on 3rd. I know its PSU but that is still pretty hard to do as a defense through 60 min. Oregon did it in part with walk-ons for a q. That says a lot about how weak PSU is, but still
  12. Stien goes into College Station and has A&M on the ropes mid 4th up 17. We'll done Coach
  13. It isn't over yet, but lowly Rutgers is running and passing on SC and making it look easy. Were it not for an unfortunate turnover at the end of a long drive the Scarlet Knights would be tied with Riley's troops. Signs that bode well for the Ducks in their upcoming contest.
  14. Good Gosh...JB89 predicted 77-0 when the final score was 84-0, thus was only seven total points off, and the closest anyone else was (Autzen Magic) was 21 points off. I was MILES off, and thus why I congratulate JB89 all the more! Thanks to all for playing, and congrats again to JB89!
  15. aTm goes for it on 4th and 2 from own 33 yard line and gets stopped down 21-7. I guess its not just Lanning going full boneheaded
  16. I thought Raiola looked like a football player last night. He was slinging it and making plays. Scoring td. Love the side arm.
  17. aTm tied with Kentucky at the half. Potential upsets all over the board. Let's hope for so chaos early and often
  18. He was 11-11 with three TD passes in a limited appearance....and looked VERY accurate. More accurate than Moore? Again...there were at least two plays where Dante Moore was throwing to the short field receiver without pressure, while WRs were getting open downfield for big potential gains or touchdowns. Is that Moore's lack of vision, or what he is being told to do? I do not know... With all the receivers open downfield and ignored vs. Oklahoma State....I cannot help but wonder if we would have won that game if Raiola was at QB? Now, I am not asserting that Raiola should replace Moore; Dante has earned his spot, and the damage to him and Oregon would be significant. But if he gets hurt, and when we consider next year--we look good with Raiola.
  19. Noon games are tight. 17-14 SC over Rutgers late in the 2nd. UTEP down 3 to Mich at the half Indiana 7 Western Kentucky 0 late in the second. Duck fans would lose it if Ducks were getting played tight to these teams. Oregon could be in a good spot coming out of a "get right" game. Let's Go Ducks.
  20. Man USC is getting away with redrum. Holding, PI... the B1G is desperate for SC to be viable
  21. I mean... I'll say this. If I wasn't a die hard Duck fan, and didn't want to write an article, I would have turned it off at half time and done something else with the rest of my evening. But I'm a die hard so here we are. And though I said that the score and stats don't matter because it's just PSU, the reality is that I kinda expected PSU to get 14-20 points with the way our defense has been playing. But with the talent differential the standard should be shutout. So seeing the shutout and only 6 first downs allowed meets a reasonable standard for this defense against that opponent. As for the offense I was expecting them to score about 50 with how badly they've been executing the offense.... I didn't expect 48 off the starter by half and another 36 by the second, third and fourth string QBs and company in the second. But I will say they met the standard of what they should have done to that opponent.
  22. Yeah even if it was intentional ground.
  23. Oregon has a lot of issues that were exposed in week one and two. Mostly energy, execution and discipline. I have no problem with Oregon using the full 60 min to exercise those demons and get right. Dan was right using all the live game clock to build his team up and fix what's wrong. Third team players are part of that continued effort. If PSU or any other CFB honk doesn't like it then it'sPSU job to stop it... FEBU! Keep grinding Ducks. Fix the issues. You don't care when others say your the best, no reason to care about anything else they may say.
  24. I thought I saw him holding his chin a little but higher pre-snap on pass plays. Saw the receivers taking a siesta lining up for run plays. Yes, I'm joking. Now that the other teams know, that we know that they know our tells, they won't trust them when they see them. Yes, I'm being serious.
