The Civil War Returns: Oregon and Oregon State Agree to Renew Football Rivalry
Personally... I hate the neutral site conference championship game locations but that's unrelated. The only team they play that is remotely interesting is Texas Tech and that is going to be a one-sided stomp fest from Texas Tech.

The Civil War Returns: Oregon and Oregon State Agree to Renew Football Rivalry
I had to do it... I had to look up the Beaver's schedule for this season. https://www.espn.com/college-football/team/schedule/_/id/204/oregon-state-beavers It's bad... Also am I correct in only counting 11 games?

Oregon: The CFP Dreamer that’s in for a Rude Awakening this Fall
As FishDuck is being sold, see the pinned post if this is news to you... I have gone through ALL of my articles and backed them up. In doing so I found a few that I forgot I wrote that I am going to bring up here as I believe they are pertinent to this discussion. https://fishduck.com/2024/12/is-oregon-finally-getting-the-respect-it-deserves/ https://fishduck.com/2025/11/is-oregon-physical-enough-for-the-b1g/ In short... we are still outsiders and are just disruptive to the B1G. I think Lanning is actually at his best when he doesn't have bye weeks. Coming out of a bye or extended bye has always seen the Ducks more sluggish and less focused. Lanning thrives on the intensity of game week. But is an entire conference slate without a break healthy? Absolutely not... but if any coach can manage it it's Lanning. I expect a single loss along the way... but we were told we would get destroyed in the B1G in 2024, turns out we won the conference. Oregon has still only lost ONE conference game in the B1G!

Two Ducks Football Games Moved to Fridays
From a home viewer with young kids perspective I kinda like it... watch the game at night and get the kids to bed at or around kickoff. But for those who travel... ughh.. yeah that sucks.

Offensive Wish List for the 2026 Ducks
I wouldn't be surprised if we see something like the 14J (1 runningback 4 Tight Ends) show up this season. In 2022 that formation was named after Josh Connerly and it was built to get him on the field. I wouldn't be surprised if we see something like a 14E or 14I or 14-Nacho show up this season to get him on the field.

Who Should the Ducks Add to the 2029 Schedule?
I'd bet on either of those to fill the slot. Honestly... I think it will be Oregon State. The Rivalry was cancelled for 2028 and the first year to restart without doing back-to-back in Eugene would be 2029. OSU decided they didn't want to play Oregon in 2028 even though we had them penned in for it because they didn't want to come to Eugene twice in a row but we can't afford to have that many away games next season based on our conference schedule. I believe 2029 our schedule enables us to travel. However, I wouldn't mind a game against Stanford.

FishDuck.com is Being SOLD: The OBD Forum Remains, but MOVES to a New Web Address (Please Read for New Address!)
Thanks for a platform to rant and rave about the Ducks... my family thanks you so that I do not have to inundate them with my Ducks talk. See you on the other site and I would happily continue to write over there.

Dan Lanning is Betting on His Own Staff for 2026
If also like to mention that this young guy Koa Ka'ai just landed us Will Mencl a rivals 5 star QB. Clearly he knows something and isn't messing around. We'll see how this year turns out but I'm feeling pretty good after the spring game. All the QBs looked poised and sure they got sacked 20 times but they don't have an offensive line yet.

Duck Football Spring Football Press Pool
Maybe I'm just nostalgic but Alger and Nemec were pretty good back in the 10's. They seemed to know what they could ask Kelly and Helfrich get answers from them. I haven't been too impressed with Oregon live since. Certainly not enough to buy a sub.

Duck Football Spring Football Press Pool
Yeah Crepea is on the Beavers beat now. Not sure why. Though I wouldn't be surprised if he choose the move himself. He may have finally learned that Lanning answers few questions, especially of his. Lanning will only give a general update of a player after the game and it's always the same, "so-and-so is doing well and we are waiting onore testing to determine the nature of the injury" Haven't had anything super severe under Lanning injury wise. If a player is out for a long time then Lanning will say that... Otherwise we won't know. Lanning does not answer questions about scheme, period. For the most part you don't get anything out of Lanning or his staff about injuries or scheme but you can get growth stories and that sort of thing. Just need to know what to ask but those questions generally aren't the things fans are dieing to know.

MORAL QUESTION OF THE DAY!!
That's pretty much how I look at the whole football season... What's good for Oregon. It makes Michigan fan coworker of mine incredibly frustrated some times that I can be against Ohio State most weeks and for them others. My hate isn't pure... Except when it comes to UW. They need to lose all 12 every year. No exceptions. Beavis I've been in the camp that they can win 11 of 12 a year because they have to lose to Oregon. But it's harder to care with the conference realignment. But that's football, not baseball.

Big Ten Helped Oregon Brand
Watched it earlier today. It's interesting as the Ducks have been solid in viewer numbers but now unlocking the East Coast via the B1G has done a lot for us. Additionally, it didn't hurt to win the conference in year one. USC and Washington are doing ok... But neither program is making waves at the moment. UCLA has been mediocre to bad for so long that it's hard to drum up interest for them. I think they got a bit of a spike this year because they took down Penn State in a shocker. Outside of that they had some moments but nothing too exciting.

NFL Teams Dream of the “Hybrid Monster” from Oregon
I'm not sure how they could have used him more while also distributing the ball to other playmakers. He did a ton of blocking which is using him as well. But if you add touches to one player who do you take them away from?
