  1. 27-10 Northwestern 1 turnover 2 sacks 88 yards passing
  2. 23-13 Oregon 2 takeaways 3 sacks 211 passing yards On paper, this week is an opportunity for the offense to get some swagger back, but I’m afraid that won’t be the gameplan
  3. When you have small shifty receivers, this is a good way to get them the ball out in space. When you have 4/5-star receivers with size and speed and you know your other WRs are going to block the wrong guy, it’s almost insulting. It shows no trust in your WRs’ ability to get open or your QB’s ability to throw downfield without putting the ball in danger. I watched multiple screens last week with 3 WRs on the same side with the blockers both going for the DB covering the receiver while the DBs covering the blockers ran free to make the TFL.
  4. Oregon 27-24 in OT 1 turnover 3 sacks 194 yards passing I’m predicting weird ugly games until the team plays to their potential
  5. While I miss the days of a homegrown 3-year starter at QB, it costs an insane amount to get that elite recruit in-house and keep him in-house until he is performing at an elite level. I totally understand only paying proven guys top dollar to play 1-2 seasons after someone else funded their development. I kinda love that Oregon has the reputation of turning around 5-stars who floundered in their early opportunities elsewhere, making Oregon the default rumored destination of anybody wanting out of their situation once the coaches and fan bases turn on them.
  6. 27-20 Oregon 1 sack 1 TO 263 yards passing I think UCLA has enough success running to shorten the game and their high-pressure D disrupts enough drives to turn it into a weird grind
  7. 38-35 USC 2 turnovers created (Oregon will commit 1 turnover and 2 turnovers on downs) 1 sack 309 passing yards We know that Oregon SHOULD win, but I don’t trust this team yet. I’m hoping this will be the game that shows they’ve turned the corner
  8. I’m just hoping this serves as a wake-up call. “Oregon always plays poorly against Boise State” gave them an out for week 1, but this game either gets your attention and refocuses you or it defeats you the rest of the season.
  9. 44-22 Oregon 2 turnovers 4 sacks 277 passing yards
