  1. Getting to the playoffs is a good thing winning one is better.
  2. And so far Ga hasnt won a NC--just sayin
  3. I think Lanning has the potential but its going to take several years for it to gel. Will the fans be willing to wait? Will he have the patience for it to happen before bolting???
  4. I kind of feel sorry for this Kid. The pressure is on and he has a lot of responsibilities which all could go south. Anything less than 11 wins and people will be all over him. Hopefully he knows what he got him self into. Alas He will make some big $$
  5. How much is Lanning's contract and when does he actually start coaching at Oregon --After the 3rd? Timing is everything- I cant believe Oregon allowed him to stay until then.
  6. Being named head coach at Oregon he should be giving up his duties at GA and on to Eugene.
  7. He isnt going to have much luck recruiting until he names an O Co.
  8. Didnt Ga lose to what many are saying is one of worst Bama teams in years???
  9. This Kid from Ga is NO Lincoln Riley. hes a good D Co that recruits to GA-My grandma could do that. Its like going to Harbor Freight to buy tools--he was a deal-on sale. No matter what ANYBODY says -he is unproven. Lets see what life is like midway through next season.--GO DUCKS!!
  10. MC recruits mostly sat on the bench if I recall-some did well though.
  11. Ga will mop the flor with us. But we will still be pretty good in the PAC
  12. Ponder thats what we will have to do for awhile.
  13. Well get ready for 4 to 5 losses-its going to be a whole other system--be patient
  14. Ive been to a few of them
  15. Maybe we will get 8 wins hopefully I would be happy
  16. This is not about whats going on today or tomorrow this is about the next 2 to 3 years.
  17. C No head coach experience and I think PK said he was done throwing Big $$ -told Mullens to do his thing, work within his budget.
  18. The Recruiting thing is no biggie. Lanning was hired to REBUILD the team over a period of time. The Utah loss left a sour taste in PKs mouth.
  19. Im ready to reserve judgement until mid way through next season- until then hes just some guy. Im from the same state hes from -THE SHOW ME STATE.
  20. #1 the average fan has never heard of the fellow, #2 I wouldnt be happy with those choices. #3 its not a big name to most fans. #4 I expect that within 3 to 4 years we could have a NC quality team. But its going to take time and I will be patient.
  21. We play Ga next year and if this guy can keep us in the game with less than a blowout -Then I will be impressed.
  22. That all may be true but I wouldnt expect results for at least 2 years. New coaches new players new systems -growing pains. I suppose that would be true with any coach we hired though.
  23. Our players will have to learn a whole new system on both offense and defense so Im figuring next year will be pretty tough as far as wins go. Maybe in 2 or so years with some of his recruits in place we will get back to being a contender. But what happens when another team offers 9 mil? So what Im getting at is that while this maybe exciting right now for some its not really any different than if you hired a Chip Kelly type, it turns out the same. My problem isnt with Lanning its with the current system of college football. I know I should take it one day at a time. Go Ducks.
