  1. As an assistant to Big Joe. Coach O can bring in the big boys.
  2. Does Oregon want to go to the Rose Bowl, have pride? Plenty to play for on Friday. I say they show up, and make it a game. The Utes think they own us, won't have the edge they had last time, at home. The bigger question is Sewell, not that he has ever been stopped, but we need him, badly. I give AB kudos, warrior with the ball! He made some nice passes, and will have to this Friday.
  3. I love the passion, but the beavs are looking like Erickson's thugs. I suppose the beavs are puling in fringe players, but Smith needs to control those kids.
  4. The offense and special teams has to bring this one home. I give the defense credit so far, Sewell is out. We need to burn time, yardage and score!
  5. Our defense is at the level we saw the first three quarters, because of Sewell and Thibs. Time for the offense to step up and help out, special teams too!
  6. I don't even have a problem with Shough or ISM transferring after the season. You don't leave your teammates, as a starter midseason, ever!
  7. Plays with passion, keep that kind of action for the O-lineman, not backs into a ref, not smart.
  8. Pittman who, didn't he play for sc? Sorry I am not a fan of quitters.
  9. Pretty much, but we have to keep laying the wood on the beavs.
  10. Like the comment about the young receivers by the announcers. We haven't missed much of a beat after our transfer and the injuries. Kudos to the young receivers!
  11. Michigan State got blown out after that stupid contract and may lose again this weekend. Keep supporting Cristobal and making the job at Oregon as attractive as possible, but, I say, don't do anything foolish.
  12. The defense stepped up, can the offense? We need the defense to continue to play well, but the offense needs to score if we are going to show we can play well next week.
  13. Interesting he threw it when it was tough, on the run. When he was in the pocket, not real pressure he has struggled, go figure. He is hitting the wide open guy who is just standing there. Thankfully the beavs are leaving those kind of targets open.
  14. First sentence, plays instead of players. Not sure if it is spellcheck, but it would seem to be an easy fix, and pretty pathetic to start an article with that kind of mistake. It does seem like most journalistic resources are cutting back on reporters, and provide little support other than spellcheck.
  15. Another day, another conversation, but it does raise the question on the, what seems to be, focus on the qb with the biggest arm, perfect size. We need a qb who can make all the throws, and more importantly make all the right decisions. With the coaches and pundits seeming to focus on how strong a qb's arm is are we missing the next great Bill Musgrave or smaller sized kid with 'it?' That seemed to be what we were facing last year against Iowa State. We lost to a qb who wasn't as highly rated at Shough, but head to head, Shough never beat the kid, 0-3 I think. He was undersized, but game smart and made all the throws. Watching Brock Purdy play made me think about the qb's we use to have. That game, QB comparison, made me really ponder what Oregon's identity was and is becoming? Are we beginning to be the perfect team, the team that looks perfect on paper, but not the team who knows how to win, as least scrap for a win in all situations? That is a question we will again get feedback on in a few hours. Rise up Ducks, show us what you can do, not just look like you can do, Go Ducks!
  16. It does raise the question on what Oregon is after Cristobal. Will it be a program in disarray like when he took over, or the program Chip took over? I do wonder if Cristobal is building something a coach will be able to just take over and win, or will there be mass exodus and no real successor? I hope we don't have to find out anytime soon. I also trust, at this point, Cristobal is a man of character, and wouldn't leave the program until he has built what he came to build. I see a Chip type takeover, not the panic slick hire, I hope!
