Wow This story, if true, has me all 🔥 d up!! Can you imagine Thorton, Devon Williams, and Franklin Outside. Seven in the backfield, with Ty or maybe butters slinging passes. That would be must see tv and could turn our season around! Maybe Mario was watching the Red River Rivalry during the bye week and got some inspiration to get more aggressive!

Dye is a perfect 3rd down and change of pace back. I think the team will suffer if he’s the bell cow. The loss of Verdell is huge. Of the 3 freshman I think Benson give us the best chance at filling in for cj. Id like to see dye get the first series of the first and second half’s plus 3rd down work. Give Benson everything else for about 10-15 touches. Also, have 2-3 plays for Seven.

That Auburn game was brutal. You are bringing back bad memories. But I would argue college football had less super teams back then. Less talent at the big schools and also Chip’S scheme caught the college football world off guard. I guess there is a chance we could hire a coach that has some crazy scheme and catches lightning in a bottle again, but I think the more likely path to a natty is layering talent on top of talent. Working hard on the recruiting trail and eventually getting there. Chip lost to Boise st ( I think it’s as bad as the asu loss for Mario) and took over a team already on the upswing. Mario took us out of the dumpster and already has two pac-12 titles and a rose bowl win!

More confident in him than any other coach in Duck history. He may have his (well documented in these forums) flaws, but he brings in the 4 and 5 star talent. Saban wins at bama because he has the best players. Oregon is getting to that point, after a couple more recruiting classes, we will be close talent wise with an easier path to the playoffs. (PAC-12 schedule vs sec) I firmly believe we will be in the playoffs with a realistic chase to win the whole enchilada, in the next 2-3 years. There will be some ups and downs along they way, but let’s all enjoy the ride! Go ducks!

I think another issue is Cristobal needs to find his best 3-4 wrs and play them the entire game. Right now they are rotating 6-7 guys in there and it’s hard for any of them to get into a rhythm.

If Brown flips that to verdell, it’s a walk in touchdown. you can see the frustration on verdells face on replay for not getting the pitch. Horrible decision to keep by brown.

I’m ok with a blackout once a year. This seasons black helmets with yellow wings are really cool, the main reason I’m looking forward to a blackout Friday night vs cal. The past 2 seasons we had the nightmare green instead of black, so it’s been a while since a blackout. Just once a year Oregon, keep it rare! Really our only concern is what the Juniors and Seniors in High School think. Whatever keeps the 4 and 5 stars coming in, is ok with me! ( as long as it’s not purple) 😊

I downloaded the Audacy app and synced the ducks radio broadcast with the game to avoid listening to Gilmore. If you live within 75 miles of Portland you can stream 1080 the fan with this app. It worked well during the Arizona game. I Switched the audio over at halftime, couldn’t take the duck bashing anymore. Jerry and Jorge are the best!

I would like to see a little more man d too. It seems Arizona burned us often with dump off passes to their rbs. Fingers crossed Tim D figures it out and finds a way to get B Williams and Jamal Hill on the field at the same time! Eventually counting on multiple turnovers to win each game will catch up to us. I think the weakest spot in the secondary is boundary safety. Too soft of coverage and slow in run support. My suggestion to fix this would be to move Jamal hill to that spot. He’s got a little Kam Chancelor vibe to him and could be a dominant safety. With Bennett Williams playing so well at the star. I say start a secondary lineup that looks like this: boundary corner. Manning or james field corner wright star/ nickel. Bennett Williams field safety vm3 boundary safety Jamal Hill Jamal hill was arguably a top 3-4 defensive player for the ducks last season, get him on the field more and this d will get more stout!
