  1. I think I heard UGA has one sack this year. Could be wrong. I am not concerned. Keeping teams out of the endzone is what matters. Put Georgia game aside and Oregon is giving up 17 ppg. Take that over sacks any day.
  2. Of WSU's 14 sacks, only one was against Wisky. The other 13 were Idaho and Colorado state.
  3. From the moment Bo Nix became a Duck I was excited for this season. I have lobbied for him and defended him the whole way. I think Nix is a winner and a true leader. Nix was Auburn and this seasons Tigers is proof. Nix will make bad decisions. Nix will throw another bad pass. Nix will shoulder a lot of the blame if the Ducks take another loss. Its what leaders do, it's what winners do. Then come Monday morning he will get to work and do everything he can to win the next game. Nix will set the tone for the next generation of Duck quarterbacks. He will set the bar for Lanning's Ducks at the QB position. I believe that bar will be set high. Win or lose, Nix has 100% support from me. Dudes a warrior. Favre on Bo!
  4. It's funny, the more I think about that loss to UGA the more I view it as a win for Oregon. Everything the Duck will be in the future under Lanning, will be built from that loss in Atlanta. Lanning's ability to regroup and lead this team to the level of play they have shown the past 2 weeks is amazing. That happened because of Atlanta. Yea, that loss is supper important. If Lanning can win it all someday, that loss, imo, will have played a major role
  5. O line play was the bright spot in Atlanta. I thought they had some chops and played Dawgs front seven tough. Ducks put up more rushing yards than UGA us used to surrendering. UGA didn't record a single sack. Ducks line hasn't given up a sack all year.
  6. Like you said, the level of play has dramatically increased week to week. The margins aren't subtle, huge jumps every week. It's not just the players getting better in the system, it's the coaching staff getting better implementing the system, teaching the players how everything fits from position group to position group Ducks are becoming a very good football team. The beat down from the Dawgs just might be the most valuable and productive game Ducks have played.
  7. In another post I mentioned a few plays Sewell did a good job in pass coverage. He took his assignment out of the play. Teams scheme away from Sewell as they did KT last year. It is a show of ultimate respect. Ducks have two defenders in Sewell and Gonzo that teams scheme around. Taking away huge chunks of field for opposing offenses. With this coaching staff, Ducks will only get better game to game. This could be a special year for sure.
  8. Amazon prime is on how many phones, tablets and laptops around the world? I watch college football on my 75" Samsung Qled. Also has Pime. I love this option. The networks could care less about Pac, ACC or Big12. Why should we care about them. I say flip the dominance of espn and fox money dictating college football. Prime has huge power eclipsing every network out there. At the end of the day it's still about the money, I get it. But the networks are flexing hard. Would love to see others flex back
  9. Bo Nix shows toughness, lifts Ducks over No. 12 Cougars 247SPORTS.COM Bo Nix shows toughness, lifts Ducks over No. 12 Cougars Nix played his best game of the year against #12. Possibly the best game of his career. I didn't watch a lot of AU games so I am not sure. Bo's command of the team was evident. The offense ran smoothly under his leadership. Everyone feed of Bo's confidence. Hopefully this level of play continues for Nix. Completing over 70% of his passes the past 2 games. Making good decisions with the ball in his hands. Seeing the defenses and adjusting to the read. Nix was throwing blocks, who doesnt love that? Every QB, whether pro, college or high-school, can be coached up. Hopefully Bo can become a rock on this Oregon offense. Hopefully Dilly is exactly what Bo needed to change the narrative of who Bo is as a QB. I know everyone on OBDF will be watching. I am rooting for him, mostly because I would love to see him shut down the doubters. Play like last Saturday will win the love and respect from Duck nation.
  10. For whatever reason, Oregon makes coaches look good. Kelly, Taggart and Mariø all got big paydays after leaving Oregon. Seems that Oregon is the strength of these coaches not these coaches being the strength of Oregon. Two of these three failed outside of Eugene. The third is just starting that process. Oregon makes coaches great not the other way around. If Lanning can level up from these three, Oregon might reach the top of the mountain. And Win!
  11. Defer... against BYU, Oregon shut their first drive down, got the ball and scored. The tone was set from that point on. BYU was never able to flip the script and Oregon had their way all game. TT possessions were an outlier I don't really count.
  12. I was watching the replay of BYU. Tried to watch Sewell a little closer. Looked to me like Sewell did pretty well in coverage. The plays I saw, Sewell man wasn't targeted. Noah had coverage to make a play if he was targeted. Maybe his pass coverage has been coached up? Looked decent to me. If Noah has put an emphasis in defending the pass, could help a lot v. WSU.

  14. If Oregon plays the way they did Saturday cougs are in trouble. The quality of play week to week has significantly trended up. No reason to think it won't this week. Other than scoreboard this past week saw a huge jump in performance. It's clear this team is getting comfortable with Lanning's system and understanding scheme. I think under this coaching staff, this teams football IQ has increased across the board. Playing the Dawgs played a role in that. Huge growth from that loss. Cougs are often a problem in Pullman. I think Oregon hangs 45+ on them. Ducks probably give up under 30. If the linebacker play from Sewell and Flowe shows up then forget about it. Those two need to find a way to get involved. Fix that and this defense is scary. Lanning has to make it a priority.
  15. Pittman in the portal was the canary in the coal mine. Then Utah happened... twice. Yea, lots of smoke for sure.
  16. Been reading Miami fan boards. Seems a lot of Miami fans have bought into Mariø 'blame the players' tactics. Many of us Ducks fans got caught up in blaming Brown. Turns out AB is a decent QB. Trust us Canes fan when we say it's all Mariø. Duck fan has hindsight. You were warned, now you get what you get.
  17. College kids saying stupid things. Probably intoxicated, atleast buzzed. Youth taking jabs at religion. Meh... It will be dealt with and everyone will move on. LDS aren't going to get sucked up over nonsense from drunk college kids. Violators will be dealt with. Nothing really to see here IMO.

  19. USA TODAY Coaches Top 25 College Football Rankings: 2022 Week 3 COLLEGEFOOTBALLNEWS.COM USA TODAY Coaches top 25 college football poll and rankings for 2022, Week 3 This makes no sense. Common opponent, Baylor loses, Ducks win.
  20. I have to go with Coach Klemm on this one. The O line play has been incredible this year. Their play has elevated all the skill position groups. Oregon has some dudes that have become huge threats offensively. Nix, Ferguson, Bucky and Franklin. How are opposing defenses going to deal with that nightmare? Their success is a direct result of O line dominance. Absolute trust in the trenches. 4th and 1 from own 31 converted confirms this. The O line is the heart and soul of this offense. IMO
  21. I loved the tenacity and aggression from start to finish. This was smash mouth football with a game plan. Loved it. What really has me feeling good about coaching abilities of Lanning and his staff is how they were able to dictate clock use. Seemingly at will. I looked at how much clock used in offensive possessions. 2 to 5 minutes all game with throttle to the floor. Lanning then dropped a gear and jaked down the hill on the last drive for 8+ minutes and 3 points. Well done coach.
  22. Mariø has been exposed. You could see it on his face at the end of the game. He knows the whole country just figured out what Duck fan has known for a few years. The look on his face was priceless. And now he knows that we know he knows we know. 🤪🤪🤪
  23. I saw one play Sewell was just kinda meandering around the left hash. Not really doing anything. He had a open path to the QB who was rolling out towards him. I believe play ended with a 1st down BYU. I remember thinking "at least do something." Sewell seems to hesitate and looks unsure at times. He also spent a lot of plays on the sideline. I don't really know why he is so inactive. My thought right now is he isn't picking up Lanning's defensive philosophy and scheme. He does seem a little lost. Maybe he hasn't got a full grasp on the defense yet. Thinking to much? Causing hesitancy. Plus team are scheming away from LB's Last couple years he just flat got after the ball. But he was exposed by short passes in the middle of the field. So I don't really know. Is he confused? Is it effort? Does it have to do with the opponent just flat staying away from him? Whatever it is, Lanning has to figure out how to get him involved. He is too dominant not to be. It's a problem coach. Just "do Something Noah".
  24. O line gets the game ball. Opened huge holes today. Looked sharp on stunt. Some big passing plays but not a lot of pass plays. Line wasn't asked to protect Nix often. Loved how gritty they were. Balzy 4th down conversions. Total trust in the O line. Great performance 👏👏👏
