Bellotti Offers to be Interim Coach

For interim coach? Or even...head coach. (Hear me out. 🙂 ) He's currently Associate Head Coach and Co-Defensive Co-ordinator. Yes, these may be "just titles", but still. AND he's from American Samoa, so he's probably not going to be looking for an eventual head coaching job there. Just a thought!

As I remember, Bailey's mother was especially thrilled when Bailey committed to Oregon, because she liked Cristobal. Well, now Cristobal is much closer to Bailey's home state...

Of course, I suppose it's possible he could always recommit, depending on the next HC.

Maybe they want to pitch their choice among current coaches to replace MC?

I did read, however, that Alamo Bowl officials are disallowing media questions to shield Cristobal, instead opting for a bowl official to ask pre-screened questions.

Someone on another site said MC was there in Duck gear, but I have not seen it, so I don't really know.

We were all ticked at Taggart for leaving at the time, but things got better. Fingers crossed things will somehow get better now too.

I wonder which assistants he is not taking.

Exactly. Take away other factors and AB's foot was taped up last night. He may very well been playing in pain--and, in any case, isn't footwork important in QB play? Why not turn to one of the other QBs last night, even if only to give AB a bit of a rest, and see what would have happened.

One thing about Bellotti was that he was willing to make changes, be it a scheme or a coach.

The thing that got me was that Cristobal looked as if he didn't have much energy. Was he thinking too much about Miami and the offer that has been reported he has? Near the beginning of the game it really looked as if the Ducks had stopped Utah on fourth down, but MC didn't even ask that they review it. If it turned out the Ducks had stopped Utah, Oregon would have had the ball on the 50 instead of Utah going down the field and scoring. Maybe it wouldn't have made much difference--but maybe it would have sparked the Ducks. Also, just wondering, when did AB get his foot taped up?

And they lost to OK State in the Big 12. 🙂

I think Noah Sewell and Mykael Wright had left the game with injuries when the beavs scored their last two touchdowns. Otherwise, the Ducks might have had a wider margin of victory.

Was the beav defenseless? That's one factor.
