  1. Of those listed, The Oregon Classic or Willamette Valley Rivalry. I but still like Valley Classic, proposed by someone previously on a different thread. (Sorry--I forget who!).
  2. Dye gave a fairly vague response, but it sounded as if he is leaning toward coming back another year. We have to remember, he was asked about this, he didn't step up and make an announcement.
  3. I think Yale and Harvard might take umbrage at the use of their long-time name for their rivalry game. 🙂
  4. On the one hand, I get what you're saying. On the other hand, there are a lot more baseball games in a season, so maybe more room for experimentation and "error?" My impression from what MC has been saying is that he thinks AB gives the Ducks the best chance of winning. As per another discussion, maybe if the Ducks had lost to Ohio State and not immediately (if perhaps prematurely) been thrown into the playoffs discussions, MC would have been more willing to slip the other QBs into a game once in a while.
  5. I like this, especially since I think going way, way back the game was referred to as The Classic.
  6. "It would be nice to enter next year with the same two coordinators, as this has yet to happen during Cristobal’s tenure." It would be nice!
  7. This, and, I think, that he seems to be an unflappable leader.
  8. As I remember, the Ducks played in the first OT college football game and beat Fresno State. I like having some sort of OT rather than games ending in a tie.
  9. I'm crossing my fingers and keeping good thoughts that he does!
  10. The snapper might not have done it intentionally, but he might have been so ticked off that his anger caused him to snap the ball with too much force....
  11. Happy! Happy! Happy! But now on to getting ready to cheer the Ducks on against wsu!
  12. Why don't they have enough jackets for all the players? I felt chilly just watching them out there in that heavy rain and cold.
  13. We aren't we running the ball more? I thought uw was not so hot at run defense?
  14. That's what it looked like.
  15. "Past History" seems to be the committee's unspoken factor.
  16. My reaction is, Yay! Now, let's forget about it and concentrate on beating the Huskies and then winning the rest of the games. 🙂
  17. I remember years and years ago the beav fans were all hot to believe that they were going to beat the Ducks in the CW game. The Ducks won 44-0 or something like that. The next day I talked to my mother, who said, "That must have been a boring game." I said, "Not for Ducks fans!" Sure, fans of the losing team, or casual viewers who have no stake in the game might think blowout games are boring, but the fans of the winning teams do not. 🙂
  18. Duck fans never get tired of seeing that! I hope they show it on the big screens before every game forever.
  19. Everything that everyone's said about the game, plus it was a 12:30 start time, daylight throughout, though a bit chilly it did not rain--a great day!
  20. But that is the thing with booing. People hear it and they are going to assume what they are going to assume. And then they are going to say what they assume, as if it is fact. Truth in advertising, I don't believe in booing: 1) Miss Manners would not approve. 2) No one can read the minds of the boo-ers, so those who hear the booing will make their own assumptions--it may not be fair, it may not be right, but, unfortunately, that's the way it is.
  21. As long as the team does not look past them. 🙂
  22. "Nick Saban demands his coordinaors to be on the sideline to call offensive plays instead of the box." That's probably so he can chew them out on the sidelines in front of the TV cameras.
  23. No matter how big he is, he will always be his Momma's little boy. 🙂
