  1. That’s fair. I’d amend the words in my Subject title above to have really meant the Oregon Machine as absolutely it is never one person, Rob included. My main point was Oregon’s current “leadership” (insert names here) has had a very successful decade+ run of successful coaches. 3 Rose Wins and 2 Natty appearances. We should trust they can do it again. Wil-LIE being the exception.
  2. That is not the tally I have seen on the numerous forums, Twitter, etc. Quite the opposite.
  3. Saw a post here wondering why Rob kept his job the last few years. Figured it was time to take a view of the forest. I will sign up for that % of success every time.
  4. The Rose Bowl win was January 2020, that is a fact. And the point was Mario did more than just “win a consolation bowl game, big whoop.” Just saying to include all facts.
  5. No, the Rose Bowl win January of 2020. How soon we forget Mario and Rob got us another one recently. My point was Mario won more than just the consolation bowl game that was mentioned.
  6. I was at the Rose Bowl at the beginning of last year. He won that one as well.
  7. It is reasonably accepted that all 3 in Door 2 have interviewed. This feels like Plan B with Chip possibly admins early choice and Wilcox maybe Phil’s personal ask to be included per others reporting today. Akili Smith tweeted today that Door 1 includes Dan Lanning (Georgia DC) as having already interviewed. That leaves NFL mystery man as 5th interview. I don’t think UO culture would stand Urban Meyers’s known baggage. And isn’t UO required to interview a minimum of 5 people per open job?
  8. Have they asked their own Oregon alums who played for Chip? Many are not fans. So why would recruits be?
  9. There is evidence this is not the case: Tom Izzo then 39 days of rejections until Altman Everybody in 2016 before Willie’s name surfaced. Mario- December 2021 Wish it were not so, but it appears it is happening again.

  11. Duck fans are getting trolled everywhere and we look desperately naive. Suggest people take 5 seconds to click on the source.
  12. UCLA fans are begging Oregon to do this. That reveals a lot.
  13. And from the flat-footedness he quickly tried world shocking names the last few days and was rebuffed. So while a couple days ago Wilcox and Chip “were no longer under consideration”, they are now back in the mix. I want to believe a shocker is being smokescreened but not sure RM has the chops to pull that marketing off of intentional leaks while signing the real stud. 2016 we all thought they were going big name as well… Reality tells me we are in the same place and this will be embarrassing especially after the nation heard Lane was in the bag yesterday. Any name below that level, we will continue to be ridiculed. Hope to be incorrect
  14. This is the worst suggestion/rumor of any. There is as much a chance of either side doing that as Beavers flying.
  15. Hard pass. If he is here to interview, we have moved on to contingency Plan #17 which would be disheartening. Give me Wilcox before Hoke, and I do not want a Wilcox (yawn) hire. Look at Hoke’s last game. Finally a chance for a league championship and got completely out-schemed, out-coached, out motivated. Sound familiar? Only difference was SDSU was favored.
  16. Maybe, though I dismissed him since the words said “IS in the NFL”. Joe got fired already.
  17. Maybe, but interviewing is far from having an offer.
  18. Isn’t Message Board Geniuses known for posting crazy stuff “someone” pasted somewhere as a way to get clicks and laughs? I mean a “small Ole Miss donor said…”. Smells fishy to me
  19. Canzano is also reporting Oregon is talking to a current NFL guy. Urban? - would be interesting if they passed on Kiffin Kellen Moore? - First time HC? John Canzano @johncanzanobft Oregon is also talking with at least two other candidates, I’m told. One of those is in the NFL.
  20. Saban and Dabo are an exception of previous Natty winners who were/still are at their school for a significant amount of time afterwards. Jimbo, Meyer, Chizik, Orgeron. Depends if you want to count Les Miles, Mack Brown. Of course, there are many reasons. The point is movement is 99% certain everywhere, we should accept that as reality even though it hurts.
  21. I am not worried about that,, they almost all leave. Win a Natty, leave. I am all in for that.
