Down Goes Reser
Upgrading the west side. Oregon State University announced a $153 million renovation to Reser Stadium on Thursday. Following the 2021 football season, workers will completely demolish and rebuild the stadium’s west side. The university says the completed project will feature premium seating that’s closer to the field than any other college football stadium in the country.

Lanning’s Bulldog Defense: I’m Impressed, Are You?
Two things stand out immediately - discipline and good tackling form! The defense was ready before the snap and looked like they knew their assignment. Tackling was excellent. The legs were their target! The offensive runner or pass catcher taken to the ground immediately. How many times did we see Oregon tacklers surround a runner try to tackle his shoulders and be carried for 5 or more yards! Teaching proper tackling technique will be a serious upgrade. Overall I loved the aggressive pressure on the offense! No more soft bend-not break passivity! The new Dan Lanning era is coming! Go Ducks!

Let’s Be Thankful For the Coaches Who Have Left Oregon
I recommend keeping the current policy. "Right now....you cannot get personal towards the current players and coaches, but once they leave--all gloves are off. " As a fan I can see the need for fans airing their feelings about coaches and players who spurn them and leave. Catharsis - "the process of releasing, and thereby providing relief from, strong or repressed emotions." Criticize them but be civil and polite. No need to rant and go on and on. After a while all of us will move on enjoying OBD!

Lanning Closing In on a Running Backs Coach...
This is the bio page from Western Kentucky Sounds like he is a good recruiter. With his experience in high scoring offenses he should fit well with Dillingham!

Lanning Pursuing Former Colleague, Penn State Assistant
Wow! It sure would be nice to get a special teams coach! We haven't had one for 5 years!

Two-Back Sets in the Kenny Dillingham Offense
Thanks Coach Boles! We have a talented room of running backs (sure hope Dye stays) and a 2 back formation will help utilize that talent. Multiple ways to use misdirection plays. Something that was not present enough this past season. The Ducks also have a great group of tight ends. Ferguson #19, Matavao #8, and Webb #18. All have good hands, can run, and are physical. I would hope there are ways to utilize their talent in ways similar to Kelce and Kittle in the NFL. I'm stoked that Dillingham is coming to the Ducks! A vertical passing game has been missing from Oregon for some time! Can't wait for Spring practices to start!

College Football is Dying
Thank you 30Duck! Great to see Travis show his outstanding talent in this game. Quick feet, vision, and good hands! Great to see him join my other favorite Duck running backs - James and Barner.in the 3000 yard club!

Alamo Bowl Gameday Thread: Why It Matters for Oregon
I agree with all that is being said on this thread. I want Brown, Dye, and Dollars to exceed 300 yards running. I want our lines, both O and D, to dominate. I want to see our defense be aggressive. Especially not giving up the middle on 3rd and long! I want to see Moorhead and Deruyter regain their reputations and call a masterful game! I wish for a successful passing game from Brown. But if he is off I hope McClendon abandons the MC past and let another QB lead the Ducks!

The Alamo Bowl Blues
Best summary of Mario Chri$to-ball legacy: "5) The way the Ducks were manhandled twice by Utah at the season’s end certainly sucked the life out of what might have been an outstanding season." Thanks for an outstanding article. But I will be watching and rooting for Our Beloved Ducks!

Oregon Football: Most Memorable Moments in Ducks History
All of these were very fond memories! "Thanks for the memories" as Bob Hope would sing. Wasn't the "throwback to the quarterback" to Joey Harrington in the Holiday Bow!? Great play - great leader of the Ducks! I'll always remember Captain Comeback. One of my favorite Duck QB's Dan Fouts. From the skinny kid in handball class to the upset against UCLA to the San Diego Chargers - what a great QB!

From Banned OBD Members: "Impulse Control is HARD!" (Your Feedback?)
Happy to be a Duck said, "Best advice as always came from my Mother. If you can't say something nice then don't say it at all." I remember my mother saying the same thing! Thanks!

From Banned OBD Members: "Impulse Control is HARD!" (Your Feedback?)
When comments are being posted fast and furious it is difficult sometimes to control my reactions! But thanks to the structure and safety of this forum I delete before posting. "Upon further review the post is overturned." I have saved myself a lot of grief by reading my post before the summit reply button is pressed. Thanks Charles for a polite and civil place where I can read and discuss Our Beloved Ducks!

Dillingham Attacking the Portal!
I need to only remember one pass from Bo Nix- the long pass he completed with seconds remaining to defeat Oregon 4 Years ago! Both he and Dillingham will be welcomed! Opportunity for upgrading our Chri$to-ball offense!

Why Bo Nix Should NOT Start at Oregon
Like many others I was frustrated by Chri$tobal's boring and conservative offense. I advocated for playing smarter and physical. Chri$to-ball kept a lid on offense. His offense, played inside a phone booth, resulted in close games. Most not decided until time ran out. The tOSU game was the only game Moorhead was given control of our offense. The rest of the season the clamps were tightened and we didn't see that kind of offense again. Because of this our young QB's were not allowed to gain experience. Even with a lead our backup QB was only given one chance to enter a game. I'm looking forward to a new Head Coach and a new Offensive Coordinator. This promises to provide more offense and more scoring! With Oregon talent and the level of play in the Pac-12 opportunity for early leads should occur. I see whoever wins the starting role to give way after providing a lead so the backup can gain experience. If the starter struggles on an off day, the backup has a chance to shine. Coach Dillingham, given more freedom than Moorhead had, will give us a more entertaining offense. With a stronger defense and better coaching player development will happen. Opportunities are coming! Go Ducks!

Ducks: Growing Pains, Youth Movement and Recruiting
You should write more articles for the fans of Oregon Duck football! You have tremendous power in what you write! Speed kills on the football field! Speed has been sacrificed the last 4 years for size and physicality. We need fast and athletic at all positions. Great points to ponder! Thanks Haywarduck!

Ducks: Growing Pains, Youth Movement and Recruiting
Thanks for the article Darren! You said: "Sometimes you just have to take guys who fly under the radar and coach them up. So, take solace in knowing that no matter what, Lanning cannot do worse than Cristobal when it comes to getting the most out of his players. And, I’m willing to bet he will do one hell of a job." I'm also confident that Coach Lanning and staff will coach up the players. It will be great to see the players develop during their career at Oregon!

Recruiting War: Lanning vs. Cristobal
I'm glad that I won't be bored watching UO football. Anyone's offense will be more entertaining than I watched these Cristobal years! I won't have to watch Mario call time out before the first play of the 2nd half ever again.

Yep, Our QB Room is Questionable... Bo Nix has Committed to Oregon
Most coaches not named Mario will play a backup QB when the starter is struggling. Case in point OU (Coach Riley) benched preseason Heisman candidate Rattler. Coach Harbaugh Michigan #2 CFP uses 2 QB's. In addition to game experience against top SEC defenses, Bo Nix adds insurance in case of injury if TT, JB, or RA wins the job. Competition is good! We wouldn't have been in this predicament if Mario had played our backup QB's. Oh I forgot, most of our games against lesser opponents were hardly ever over until the final whistle! I'm sure happy our Duck football program is getting Coach Upgrades!
