Yeah. Think this is a good year to put watching the ducks on the back burner. The games at the end of last year were difficult to watch and this year looks like more of the same.

No improvements from last year. Missing tackles?! Going to be a long season. QB play is worse than last year. No excuse for poor tackling. Sigh. Let’s hope Utah plays better.

Well, we are about to see how good of a head coach is Dan Lanning. Right now Oregon looks awful. Can Lanning right the ship?

Terrible interception. Whether this game or next time to see Ty Thompson.

Let’s hope the D has a stop in them.

Thanks for expressing how I feel about Travis Dye. I’m not to counted amongst those angry at him. I just wish we were playing USC this year so our team could stomp them.

Booing injured players (fake injuries by the way)? I’ve watched a lot of Oregon home games and I’ve never heard Oregon fans boo a real injury. Right now USC fans are over the top. So proud of skipping to the Big 10 all the while lying to other members of the conference about their intentions. I wonder how many of the author’s cited examples are due to envy about Oregon’s success? My guess is our fans have the typical spread between stupidity and genius with the stupidest also being the loudest. Human nature, sadly.

I’m with those that say “let it go.” Dye wanted to be close to his family and away from Mari-no-O (as were several other players).

Failure to me are scandals and not having players play to their abilities. Mari-no-O wasn’t a failure but he was wearing out his welcome. We’ll see with Lanning especially when he has his first major disciplinary issue but I’m optimistic.

Let’s hope the kids can tell their parents.

The reality is "we don’t know’ and predictions are based upon how pessimistic or optimistic is the poster’s personality. We have a LOT of variables and won’t know the team’s trajectory and potential until week three or four.

Yup. Good example is Dye, who has family and a deep connection to SoCal. When he left many commenters assumed it was about money, yet there hasn’t been a whisper of a big NIL deal. I think he wanted to be close to home. Simple as that. When people accept jobs salary is a major factor but not the only one. Fit and culture are huge. Losing to Alabama is not the end of the world. Five years ago how often were neck and neck with Alabama (rarely if not never)?

These coaches have been great at seeing potential.
