Penn State AD Pat Kraft Despises Oregon
I really like the hire of Buster Faulkner as offensive coordinator, and the defensive coordinator from Kentucky(name slips my mind). Faulkner is probably going to be a head coach in the next couple years, but the fact Sumrall said he was going to get a big time guy, and not one of his buddies from Tulane, and he did it. Well that already makes him better than Billy Napier. Napier was given the money to build a staff, but he decided to just hire his Sun Belt buddies, and you saw the results. Time mismanagement, penalties, player regression, and an offense so full that you would prefer to hear Bill Belichick narrate a documentary on paint drying. I never wanted Kiffin, there was a leaked story that Scott Stricklin didn't either. It's why he wasn't hired in 2017, 2022, or this year. Kiffin wanted full control, and his GM from Ole Miss. Stricklin matched the money from LSU, he even matched the increased player payroll. But he made it clear that Kiffin would still answer to him. He also wanted to hire an experienced NFL GM. Kiffin obviously took this as an insult, Stricklin agreed. This way Stricklin could say he made an actual effort, but Lane just turned him down. Which is what he wanted. Stricklin is a buttoned down individual, he hates silly antics online. It's why he hired paint chip Billy Napier in the first place. I wanted Fisch, but we didn't get him. I hope Sumrall proves all the doubters wrong, he is a fiery dude. One that secured two recruiting classes for Tulane, and Florida. All the while, he was getting his team ready to play for a CCG, and playoff berth. I look at what he's doing as a great sign of his character, and ability to delegate. I get alpha vibes from the man, he makes you want to hear what he is planning on doing, and you believe he's going to succeed. Very much like your head coach, Dan Lanning. I was disappointed initially, but am now cautiously optimistic. He's going to be compared to what Lane is doing at LSU. Fair or not.

Penn State AD Pat Kraft Despises Oregon
I can't see why he hasn't connected with his first 100 targets🥸. Oddly enough, those loons in Happy Valley like him more. He showed some 🔥. Well you know what they say about playing with 🔥. Good luck Matt Campbell.

This is the alleged clip. It's not confirmed. I hope it's fake, because this is just unprofessional.

Future Oregon Opponent? Friday 5:00 pm Game Watch
I bet it's a wild time on that campus right now. New Orleans is crazy enough. Imagine if Tulane and Oregon met in the Sugar Bowl.

Future Oregon Opponent? Friday 5:00 pm Game Watch
If it's Tulane, I'm going to be conflicted. I want to see Oregon win a title this year. But coach Sumrall winning a playoff game would help his credibility with big time boosters, and recruits. My hope is Duke wins the ACC, and Oregon gets James Madison. That way, I can see Oregon demolish Billy Napier's new team.

Hatred harms the soul brother Kraft. You should like relax, you'll live longer man. Oregon is prepping for a playoff run, you should concentrate on getting a coach, and having more than two dudes in your 2026 recruiting class.

Holy Crap! Never, Never, NEVER in Recruiting at Oregon Before!
I've seen three different reports on Henry. One says he's sticking with Ohio State. One says he's leaning towards Oregon, or USC. The third says Texas is offering him twenty Texas Steakhouse restaurants, a luxury condo somewhere in the islands, and Jerry Jones personal doctor that can make a human look like a life sized Ken doll.

Holy Crap! Never, Never, NEVER in Recruiting at Oregon Before!
If you want to hear an even crazier story revolving around a once committed Buckeye receiver, not named Chris Henry. Look up Legend Bey. A 17 year old who flipped from Tennessee to Ohio State, only to flip back and sign with Tennessee. But, he has since said his older brother may have signed the LOI, and since he isn't yet 18, he needed his mother to sign as well. He is reportedly asking for his release, and intends to sign with Ohio State on Christmas Eve, when he turns 18. Tennessee will likely grant his release, but if they don't, he can just enter the transfer portal in January. Crazy stuff , there aren't any rules anymore. Between this, and the Lane Kiffin debacle, I think college football needs a commissioner. Just not Nick Saban, he's still very biased. Oh, and btw, there is now another potential Michigan cheating scandal. This time involving communications going down for their opponent in the second half of Saturday's game. Hail to the victors!!!! Oops, they lost😂. *Penn State currently has a recruiting class of two guys, Oregon broke that program worse than Sid tried to break Buzz Lightyear.

Possible, but Penn State has a reputation of not firing coaches. I think Penn State was viewing their situation as similar to Georgia, under Mark Richt. The problem is Georgia was willing to hire an assistant, and Penn State wants a proven head coach. I think Penn State is just too picky. Oregon and Ohio State were open to hiring assistants, it's worked out pretty well The era of using an Indiana or Vanderbilt, as your coaching farm system, are over.

The A.D is looking for someone that will win a national title in 3 years. They weren't looking at any assistants, or G6 programs. I don't know what their plan was, there wasn't a slam dunk guy out there. I think they thought they were just going to get Cignetti. I can't think of anybody else, they can't have believed they were going to get Dan Lanning, Ryan Day, or Kirby Smart.

Will The Coaching Carousel Kill Oregon’s CFP Chances?
Both guys are staying through the playoffs right? James Madison, North Texas, Tulane, Alabama, and now Ohio State have coaches leaving for other jobs. Ole Miss drew the shortest stick of all, but at least Lane Kiffin is being nice, and "allowing" Weis Jr. to return and coach the playoffs. Crazy times my friends.

Well another target just got taken off the map. Brian Hartline is the new head coach at USF. The whole DeBoer thing just doesn't make sense to me. I know Alabama fans are absolutely insane, but DeBoer is doing about as well as anyone can , especially when following a legend. They've been spoiled, but I can tell you that no program is immune to having bad stretches. Texas, Michigan, Notre Dame, USC, LSU, Miami, Tennessee, and even Georgia have gone through decade plus long stretches of not being title contenders. Florida is in the midst of fifteen years. DeBoer is a great coach. If Alabama doesn't lock him down, or the spoiled fans drive him out. I'll laugh so loud, I might get a noise complaint. FSU has already given me an early Christmas gift, by keeping Norvell. What other big play can they get? Take Dabo from Clemson. I think Clemson might welcome that. They aren't getting Ryan Day or Kirby Smart. Both Texas programs just signed their coaches to long term contracts. Cignetti just got a huge extension. Both the Tulane, and North Texas coaches are already hired at new places, same for James Madison. That leaves Virginia, and five loss Duke. There isn't much left.

They have a good wrestling program as well. This search is starting to resemble the 2017 Tennessee debacle, without the whole protest that got a job taken away. Oddly enough that protest of Schiano was connected to his time at Penn State. Tennessee ended up hiring the worst head coach in their history, Jeremy Pruitt.

Penn State is the last P4 job open.

So, Which Do You Prefer, a Home Playoff Game or a Bye into the Quarter Finals?
I wonder if the loser of the Ohio State vs Indiana game falls to four if Georgia and Texas Tech win. If that happens, and Oregon draws the five, that would pit Oregon vs one of them in the quarters.
-
It's Easy to ACC that Champ Games Should Disappear
Oregon pulling off what Ohio State did last year. Avenge that one loss vs the Hoosiers in the quarters, you gotta know Dan thinks about that.

So, Which Do You Prefer, a Home Playoff Game or a Bye into the Quarter Finals?
Not having to play in the conference championship game, and getting a bye would be a big advantage imo. I think Indiana would have to beat Ohio State, Alabama would have to beat Georgia, and BYU would have to beat Texas Tech for Oregon to get that path. Georgia has an Alabama problem, so I could see the Tide winning. Indiana is coached well enough to beat Ohio State, I don't like their chances in doing it twice though. Last, and probably the longest shot, is BYU beating Texas Tech. BYU has been playing with fire the last part of their schedule. Being down by two touchdowns to UCF, Cincy, and Iowa State. Sandwiched between getting their doors blown off at home vs Texas Tech.

Will Stein to Kentucky
I was hoping Stein would stay out of the SEC. I think he's going to do more with less at Kentucky. That program allocates about 75 percent of their shared revenue budget on basketball. Stein will develop an offense, and convert three stars into all league performers. I was hoping he'd go to Cal, UCLA, or Oklahoma State. Is Cal looking at Lupoi?

I think you'll get the G6, or ACC champ. Either way, you'll likely wipe them out pretty easily. If projections stand, that being Ohio State, Indiana, Georgia, and Texas Tech. Who would you prefer to play in the quarters?

Who do you want in round one Jon? 1.)Tulane 2.)Virginia/Duke/James Madison 3.)Alabama 4.)Notre Dame I think Oregon is going to get the five seed.

Coaching Carousels
Stricklin is one of the worst ADs in the sport. His promise was a proven P4 coach, last I checked, Tulane is in the AAC. If this isn't just a smokescreen, Stricklin needs to be gone before Monday. A defensive minded AAC coach, instead of an alum. Brent Key, Kenny Dillingham, Leah Clark, Sonny Sitaki, Jeff Brohm, and even that sleaze all Jim Harbaugh , all have shown what a coach can do in getting everyone bought in, when it's a guy at his alma mater. The buy in, the commitment, the genuine love. It's just different.
