  1. There are a lot of empty seats at the Miami game against a 6-2 conference opponent. Embarrassing.
  2. The Duck doesn’t look happy. Coach Dan Lanning must have had a conversation with him. Feel bad for Michigan.
  3. I think it’s cool that we have players transferring from all over the country to play for The Ducks, and don’t mind.
  4. Perhaps the coaches wanted to preserve Riggs' redshirt, while also providing him with ample time to learn the offense and get acclimated to the college game before getting more playing time down the stretch run?
  5. Will Howard is a very good college QB and the Ducks defense faces one of the best every day in practice. There are only a handful of QBs who may be better (e.g., Cam Ward, Texas's QBs). I have faith in Oregon's secondary.
  6. There was some bad tackling from the Oregon defense in that game. Credit to the coaches and players for cleaning it up. Sometimes you just have to go back to fundamentals during the football season...
  7. Back to the original question - I'll be pulling for Penn State. I'd rather Oregon play an undefeated Penn State in the B1G Championship Game. It'll be more entertaining with two undefeated top 3 teams playing for the conference championship game (should be #1 vs. #2) with the winner getting a first round college football playoff bye. Plus, it's another opportunity for the Ducks to knock off another B1G blue blood, which will never get old. Go Ducks!!! Keep handling business and getting better every week...
  8. I miss the Pac-10 and playing every team in the conference during the regular season. We still had some wacky tie breakers (e.g., 2000) but at least every team had an even schedule.
  9. I’m shocked that Coach Lanning and Coach Lupoi haven’t been more aggressive with their blitz packages or simulated pressures, thus far. We did blitz more against Illinois and hopefully they are saving the more exotic looks for the playoffs. Maybe our coaches just have supreme confidence in our front 4 to generate pressure without having to send an extra man or get fancy.
  10. That’s a good point. Like with Clay Helton, let’s have USC win just enough to keep Lincoln Riley, please. Plus, I’ll never root for the mutts.
  11. For a QB that has thrown twice as many interceptions as touchdowns, he should probably keep his mouth shut.

  13. Sorry, Jack -- Coach Lanning said in one of his team meetings, after the Ohio State victory, that they weren't letting people back on the Oregon boat...
  14. Things would have gotten very interesting in Columbus, if Ohio State lost to Nebraska at home, coming off a loss at Oregon and a bye. LOL.
  15. Maybe the Illinois team was distracted by the natural beauty surrounding the stadium…
  16. Another B1G battle this year that everyone is watching… Oregon Ducks Recruiting 'Dark Horse' to Flip Ohio State Buckeyes Five-Star Commit WWW.SI.COM The Oregon Ducks are reportedly a team to watch when it comes to potentially flipping one of the best...
  17. He probably did…we just couldn’t understand him (sorry, I couldn’t resist).
  18. Oregon’s pre season schedule was favorable this year - two guaranteed victories against Division II schools and one matchup against a good top 25 team at home. Thank goodness we had the first game against Idaho to work out the kinks.
  19. And Bo Nix would probably have won it last year, if he had a good game and beat Washington in the conference championship game.
