July 4Jul 4 No. Since in state birth is not necessary then what about Bill Walton? Even Larry Bird says that Walton was one of if not the best centers and passers the NBA has ever seen, sad for all his injuries.

Born in Portland Oregon on January 6, 1987, Grant High School.2009 AP College football player of the year, unanimous AA, won the Outland, Lombardi, Nagurski, and Bednarik Awards in 2009. NFL 1st round 2nd pick. NFL ROY. 5 time Pro Bowler, Super Bowl Champion. 640 tackles and 78.5 sacks regular and post-season over his 13 year career. Named in 2025 as a starting DL on AP's All-Time college football team with Huge Green, Randy White, and Bronko Nagurski.Bob Lilly for sure but also Jefferson High and Oregon Duck Mel Renfro. 1965 consensus All-American. 10 Pro Bowls and 2 Super Bowls. 1996 NFL HOF. Also a 1962 All-American at Oregon in the high hurdles and broad jump, helped lead Oregon to its first track and field National Championship (before hurting his knee in 1963). July 4Jul 4 No. How about Bill Johnson. 1984 Olympic gold medalist. Born in California but called home in east Multnomah County. Passed away in 2016 in Gresham.
