EUGENE, Ore. — Oregon's returning leading rusher will miss the start of the 2026 season due to injury. Running back Jordon Davison has aggravated the collarbone injury that cost him the final game of last season, DuckTerritory.com has confirmed through a source. DucksWire's Zachary Neel had the story first.

The injury is expected to take six to eight weeks to recover, meaning Davison is likely to miss all of non-conference play before returning. The Ducks open Big Ten Play against USC on the road on Sept. 26.

What Jordon Davison's injury means for the Oregon Ducks going forward

So now, with Davison sidelined for the next month or so, where will the Ducks go in the backfield, and who is expected to step up the most?

Injuries are the one thing that can derail OBD's season. I think the RB room has enough talent to make up the difference until he comes back. But other groups like the defensive line where proven production from the bench is more harrowing.

No.

Bright side: good timing and hope he's 100% by mid-season or earlier.

Not so bright side: the fact that this is reaggravated eight months later doesn't bode well for the rest of this year and possibly longer.

How do you teach a bull not to run like a bull? Praying Jordon gets a clean bill of health soon!
