  7. So Trojan wire is calling Oregon a rival. I don't really view them as a rival. Ducks don't play them often enough. They are unlikeable sure. But a rival?
  8. Great fun while interviewing @RogersKawika today when teammate @BearAlexander_ joined the conversation.
  9. Oregon, not Ohio State, would be Troy's 2026 statement win. https://trojanswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/trojans/football/2026/08/03/dan-lanning-no-reason-distrust-oregon-usc-respond/91115792007/
  10. Got lots of really good information today. Will have a ton of stuff coming over the next few days.

  12. Great article David, and I am not sure I agree with your conclusion about the OC/DCs going anywhere at the end of the season. If our offense does what I believe it WILL do, then Mehringer could get a serious look IF…we win a ‘Natty. After all…he was an OC twice before, and if this third time is a big winner…what more does he need? Kinda interesting that Tosh can now be in his optimal position; not running a defense, but recruiting, which is his wheelhouse.
  13. Glad to see you will be at Oregon Football’s Media day Tuesday interviewing the players. You have SO much more experience and skills than the vast majority of other media attending. I personally look forward to your articles!
  14. Expected wait time . . . five years and one day after law takes effect.

  16. Agree. Recruiting at such a high level year to year is a huge advantage. The tp will thin depth for sure. But I think the teams that recruit top 5, perhaps 10, will still dominate the sport most years. We will still have outlier making/winning the NC. Oregon had 2 teams play for the NC, should have been 3 (2001), with lesser talent from a recruiting standpoint across the board. IU did it last year. The beauty of today's cfb is that more talent will spread out and we will get better football. No longer are a handfull of team able to hoard talent.
  17. Oregon releases updated roster ahead of start of fall campEUGENE, Ore. — With fall camp practices 48 hours away, the University of Oregon has released an updated fall camp roster that includes the additions of three freshmen. Wide receiver Jalen Lott, offensive lineman Immanuel Iheanacho and defensive lineman Anthony Jones each enrolled this summer following the conclusion of spring ball. Lott will wear No. 10, Iheanacho will be in No. 79 and Jones will wear No. 90. Tight end Andrew Olesh is now wearing No. 19 and Dayton Raiola is in 81, the number Olesh had worn during spring. ‌ The updated roster also included the additions of numerous walk-ons to get the Ducks to the 105-player maximum. Heights and weights were not included in this roster release. They are expected to be offered later during fall camp, likely just before the season kicks off on Sept. 5 against Boise State. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/oregon-releases-updated-roster-ahead-of-start-of-fall-camp-288681726/
  18. In regards to Lanning as DC for Georgia, that team was loaded with NFL talent. And I believe Lanning is a great defensive coach. In my humble opinion both Dillingham and Stein just mailed in the same plans they had used before. Their effort and energy was for their new team The CF Powers that be need to change the opening of the Portal until the conclusion of the Playoffs! 🤣 I can only dream.
  19. Ducks add proven frontcourt production with Malique Ewin commitmentOregon has landed a commitment from former Arkansas forward Malique Ewin, adding an experienced scorer, rebounder and rim protector to its 2026-27 roster. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound Ewin brings the Ducks an experienced and productive interior presence after averaging 9.8 points and 5.7 rebounds across 37 appearances for Arkansas during the 2025-26 season. He becomes eligible to continue his college career following a federal court ruling that opened the door for members of the 2022 high school graduating class to compete for a fifth season. https://247sports.com/college/oregon/article/ducks-add-proven-frontcourt-production-with-malique-ewin-commitment-288648639/
  20. Thanks for the update. I didn't realize this had changed. I guess 5 in 5 works out to about the same, but no extension for injuries could be tough. Guess will have to wait until challenged in court.

  23. One thing that probably doesn't get noted enough was Oregon's decimated running back situation going into the second Indiana meeting. Not only was there in-experience in playing time carrying the ball, but inexperience in blocking. The two running backs vs Indiana were Hill and Harris who ranked No. 3 and No. 6 in season rushing. Davison, Whittington and Limar were 3 of the top 4 running backs the game earlier against James Madison. Harris was the 5th running back with one carry vs James Madison. Indiana had one of those magical seasons from an injury standpoint. And, of course, those missing running backs for Oregon weren't missing from the defense.
  24. Just a note that I am here for coverage. Most if this will be on GoDucks Youtube, but trying to make my visibility a thing this year. Can't travel to a bunch of road games, but will work to be more "present" here.

On3Notre Dame-Indiana home-and-home series canceled as Irish...Notre Dame and USC are renewing their rivalry. As a result, the Fighting Irish and Indiana will no longer play in 2030 and 2031.
  27. Four-year series starting in 2030 after Notre Dame agreed to play the games earlier in the season. Not many traditions are left in CFB. I'm glad this series is back. 2030? Will Marcus Freeman be coaching in the NFL? Will Linc be missing from LA? 2030 through 2034, how often will Oregon be scheduled to play SC? I'm hoping that after the current B1G schedules conclude in 2028, the four West Coast teams will play one another every season. On3USC, Notre Dame renew rivalry with series beginning in 2030The USC-Notre Dame rivalry is officially back. USC announced Monday that it has reached an agreement with Notre Dame.
