Oregon Ducks Practice Reports Updates, Etc. “2026” (10)
Oregon freshman WR Messiah Hampton emerging late in fall campRochester is a long way from Eugene. Still, the Oregon Ducks made the trip out east to New York last year to pull in the state's top recruit: wide receiver Messiah Hampton. The state isn't known for a competitive high school football landscape, but the Ducks still saw the young wideout rising above. A snappy route runner with great hands, enough speed to play inside or out, and a dynamic ability to play a variety of roles — that sounds like the perfect fit in Oregon's offense. https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2026/08/25/oregon-football-messiah-hampton-fall-camp-emerging/91450558007/

Good Gosh....These Freshmen are FREAKS!
I'm sure you've read about some of the weight changes from off-season workouts, but let's do a quick review at some jaw-droppers, and then look closely at a couple of freshmen. Dante Moore: 6-foot-3, 220 lbs. (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-3, 206 lbs.) Akili Smith Jr.: 6-foot-5, 245 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-5, 231 lbs.) Dylan Raiola: 6-foot-3, 232 lbs Gatlin Bair: 6-foot-2, 204 lbs reported by Oregon, so he is an inch shorter than what recruiting sites reported. Kendre Harrison: 6-foot-7, 250 lbs. He is a legit six foot, seven! Defensive Linemen: Aydin Breland: 6-foot-5, 315 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-5, 304 lbs.) Matthew Johnson: 6-foot-5, 319 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-5, 295 lbs.) Elijah Rushing: 6-foot-6, 290 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-6, 275 lbs.) Nasir Wyatt: 6-foot-2, 245 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-2, 228 lbs.) Anthony Jones Jr.: 6-foot-3, 301 lbs. (Up from 275 lbs.) Offensive Linemen: Dave Iuli: 6-foot-3, 335 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-3, 332 lbs.) Kawika Rogers: 6-foot-5, 325 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-5, 320 lbs.) I had no idea that these two guys were this big. Fox Crader: 6-foot-6, 311 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-6, 315 lbs.) I did not realize he was 6'6"! Demetri Manning: 6-foot-6, 345 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-6, 330 lbs.) A big backup! Zac Stascausky: 6-foot-6, 311 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-6, 285 lbs.) An Oregon boy at 6'6"! Douglas Utu: 6-foot-4, 335 lbs (2025 height/weight: 6-foot-4, 335 lbs.) A RS freshman who has grown! Newcomers: Michael Bennett III: 6-foot-5, 320 lbs Koloi Keli: 6-foot-3, 310 lbs True Freshmen: Immanuel Iheanacho: 6-foot-6, 365 lbs Tommy Tofi: 6-foot-6, 360 lbs. (Holy Crap....BOTH these TRUE FRESHMAN are 6'6" and 360 or over...and are threatening to play soon?) The recruiting is superb, but the development and growth on campus is pretty darn impressive too! Kendre Harrison

Marsh Duck Monday - We are Hearing All the Right Things Around Oregon Football
The info has been floating around for a few days now from another site on notes from the last scrimmage so I feel it's probably not a secret anymore. It sounds like the kicking game is getting better and made some big kicks in the scrimmage. But the thing is that until the game is on the line and the kick is do-or-die we don't know if they truly have ice in their veins. Offensive line seems to still be a work in progress... I love the pieces they have but they need to figure out the chemistry. For Moore I think some of it will be the offensive line chemistry keeping him safe and some plays to enable him to get out of the pocket safely. In both games you mentioned the Ducks couldn't do what they really wanted to do to protect the quarterback in establishing a running game. Oddly enough both games also saw injured starting runningbacks. In the 2024 Rosebowl James went out of the game with a concussion. In 2025 we were obviously down Davison and Whittington. But making sure we have a good offensive line is going to be key this year.

Wow...The New Practice Facility BLEW ME AWAY....
New Mo.2 indoor facility, design by Olson Kundig design team https://www.woodworksinnovationnetwork.org/projects/university-of-oregon-hatfield-dowlin-complex-expan The signature rounded and sweeping roofline mirrors the distinct elliptical contour of the school's O branding. Early on some suggested the design was inspired by Sydney Opera House. I don’t believe that is true, the architect firm had its own vision. But, there might be some parallels to Sydney at U of Cincinnati: https://gobearcats.com/news/2025/04/28/university-of-cincinnati-announces-official-name-of-sheakley-indoor-practice-facility-and-sheakley-athletics-performance-center

Marsh Duck Monday - We are Hearing All the Right Things Around Oregon Football
Thank you, David. With every team undefeated, it's sunshine-pumping time. I don't mean to be a downer, but I have two concerns. When the pressure's on, is the FG kicker going to come through? There is one layup game on the schedule: Portland State. OBD will play competitive, close games. Will the O-line be big game ready? In the final game of the 2024 season, Dillon Gabriel was under siege. Same with Dante last season. I was surprised that last year's O-line was a Joe Moore Award finalist, mostly because of the play of both tackles against top defenses. No matter how much Dante has matured, he, like all QBs, needs time to see the field and deliver the ball. Dante is an excellent athlete, but he's not Johnny Football or Trinidad Chambliss. Thanks again, David, and Beat Boise!

Marsh Duck Monday - We are Hearing All the Right Things Around Oregon Football
Gotta love the article, and if there was ever a year to have the offense balanced to the passing attack--this is the year. And I think we will. To have Bair doing well so quickly--it means that sending Bair and Stewart deep is sure going to stretch defenses like never before!

Wow...The New Practice Facility BLEW ME AWAY....
What in the heck are we doing? This looks like some kind of futuristic secret society building. I expect to see Superman crashing some sort of Brainiac inspired super Olympics event from this structure. It's like Walt Disney really is alive, and he teamed up with Rod Serling to create a Twilight Zone "World of Tomorrow". What I'm really saying is "Wow"! I don't know what I'm looking at, or why Oregon needs this along with all your other amazing facilities, but I'd sign up to play for the Ducks just to see what was in that structure, if I was a five star athlete. Florida is doing a 1.7 billion dollar renovation on "The Swamp" and the early renderings show some extra press boxes added. That's the "creativity" you get for almost two billion in Gainesville.
