They are among THE finest private and public, respectively, schools in this land. I believe that their fan support will skyrocket with membership in the Big-10 after their few years of purgatory traveling to Clemson, SC. Gross. If ND is in the mix? ND and Stanford.

Let’s not forget the next year - 1987 - the Red Sea parted twice in back to back weeks. SC and Washington die in Autzen and we don’t even get a bowl bid that year. My senior year. Could have used a Rose Bowl invite that year and kicked off the rise in Duck football sooner than 1994. Or was the 1987 season just a dream? I seem to remember that the Blue Bonnet Bowl had reps at the Civil War game that year. I was excited to see Texas at least. But noooooooo.
