  1. Chip's Ducks took the ball. and 1:43 later the Ducks were up 7-0. But most coaches now, defer, Cristobal included, But the Ducks opened up against Colorado. Yes, it was Colorado, but baby steps here. Cristobal knows the Ducks are hanging by a thread to No.4. But, has it sunk in that not only do the Ducks need to win their next 4 games. They need to leave a pile of destruction in their wake, 23-16 over unranked Washington won't do it, 23 would be a good halftime total for a team vying for a spot in the Final Four. These 4 games coming up are the most important games Oregon has had under Cristobal. It won't be enough if the Ducks cancel out the epic fail at ASU with a win at Washington. Cristobal brushed off Lake publicly, but is he seething inside? Is he going to have a glare that Lake can sense from across the field? Open it up Mario, "Release the Hounds" on the Huskies!
  2. This is not the Alabama offense of the last 3 years or so, Young started out hot at QB, but has come down, and the WR's have definitely taken a step back. 28 points against an LSU that's season would be saved with a W at 'Bama?
  3. only one other coach (Oregon's Dana Altman) ranked above Arizona State's Bobby Hurley. Details, details,
  4. Chris and the Pacers take on the Blazers tomorrow, 7:00 on ROOT
  5. Great reveal, Jon. LSU had a historic season in 2019, Georgia is dominating 2021, but all the drama is on No. 2 Alabama after the Reveal.
  6. Poll: Bobby Hurley Ranks as Top Coach According To Pac-12 Players
  7. The -28 was Alabama over LSU.
  8. "Gameday" is really a "3 hour tour" I don't take anymore, Not only is State coming off the big, emotional W, putting their RB front and center for the Heisman, they have to play Purdue, who beat the Beavs Week 1, I just checked and it's Ohio State -28 at Nebraska. Not hoping for much, but most likely the 'Husker fans will be polite.
  9. Have to say it's surprising to see the Huskies being the Top in anything this season, but there it is. Can we say, "well they haven't faced a passing game as good as Oregon's"?. A passing game that has been improving. A nice balanced attack would serve the Ducks well on Saturday.
  10. Yes, Mike Hopkins' Head Coach experience consisted of 9 games filling in at Syracuse when Boeheim was suspended in 2016 before Washington in 2017.
  11. Back in September, this was announced: Today:
  12. Hugh is a loud voice amongst the Husky Honks, Based on Lake's recent actions he's taking on water, the Huskies lost to Montana! The Husky talk on their Boards has been dour, it would be better for Lake if their was outrage, but its more indifference.
  13. Softy is great, he is a living example of everything we scoff at Washington about. Sure Lake was talking about Washington's "Academic Prowess" But he is a football coach, not a Professor, so he fumbled his lines, no sweat. The more ridiculous statements the better! And that part was priceless!
  14. They aren't thrilled with the Men's basketball coach either. They drove Romar out of town with a 298-195 record, including 2 trips to the Sweet 16. Certainly not Altman, but. Romar did make Ernie look like a Master Tactician. Hopkins is currently 68-60. Got Coach of the Year in the Pac-12 his first season, but it's been a downward spiral since.
  15. Of course Schill is taking the high road, but "great" football history? I don't know for sure, but has any other Pac-12 team lost 12 games in a row to another Pac-12 school? That historic 19991 Championship, and lets open the books and go back and see why exactly Don James left. There is just SO much to hate about them.
  16. I did not expect the 4 I had found myself being "rational" and having NO faith at all in the Committee would not have been shocked to see Oregon at 11, tOSU at 4, and listen tp EESPN explain that it made perfect sense, but, as they love to say, "These early rankings don't mean anything, it will play its way out". So ESPN tells us that their weekly hour of suspense is meaningless, but we will all watch it anyway.
  17. Husky football coach, Jimmy Lake stepped in it a while back with his comments about academics, recruiting and Oregon. The Seattle Times analyzes the situation in Jimmy Lake Says Oregon is Not a Recruiting Rival Because UW Recruits More Often Against Programs With 'Academic Prowess' Is He Right?
  18. This one is fascinating: He doesn't follow college football, so how can he, "know for a fact" anything?
  19. I know, hard to believe. But at 2-4 the husky fans were definitely "Sleepless in Seattle" Dylan Morris Admittedly Hears Some Fan Backlash From the Stands SI.com
  20. It' s interesting how much 1 game means to a lot of teams. Oregon has the W over tOSU, Cincy, the W over Notre Dame. Oklahoma needed the QB change to beat Texas. Michigan State is 8-0. But its come from behind W over Michigan is its first W over a team with a winning record. If Michigan had held on they'd be an even stronger No.2 with 3 wins, Western Michigan, Wisconsin, and would be, Michigan State. Alabama starts every season knowing they can lose 1 and not worry about the CFP.
