  1. For the rest of the season a lot of games will matter, if throughout the day you catch something in one of them, post about it here, Below is a list of some of the games of interest before the Ducks play. 9:00 Missouri at Georgia ESPN Ohio State at Nebraska Fox Wake Forest at North Carolina ABC 12:30 Michigan State at Purdue ABC Tulsa at Cincinnati ESPN 2 Navy at Notre Dame NBC Auburn at Texas A & M CBS Baylor at TCU Fox OK. St. at West Virginia ESPN Penn, State at Maryland FS1 4:00 LSU at Alabama ESPN 4:30 Indiana at Michigan
  2. Remember the "Back to the Future" movies? Biff is a blustering, boastful buffoon who never seemed to grasp reality. Remind you of anybody?
  3. Ducks 31-13 3 turnovers, 2 sacks, 187 passing yards,
  4. Yeah, they are, Unfortunately Stanford has made a habit of being a giant thorn in an Oregon season.
  5. Troy Dye left an indelible mark in Oregon football history But is his brother going to eclipse him the way he's playing this season?
  6. Never. Back then the games were on Saturday & Sunday. 13 years old, inside "The Pit". Watching Wooden twist the program he always held in his hands. It's impossible to describe what a Kamikaze Kids game was like. Loud? Like you couldn't hear the person next to you, Chicago and '25 or 6 to 4" The Lone Ranger. "Deranged Idiots" wasn't until later, coined by Gene Barto, who was the genius to follow Wooden. Gerald Willett, Mark Barwig, Bruce Coldren. Hero Ducks forever!!!
  7. A couple of the Pickers went with Washington, one of them picking the Huskies because he could never pick the Ducks. This goes with sentiment at the other Washington sites; they hate it, but just don't see much chance for the Huskies.
  8. I am not completely against the 3 point shot, but if it was outlawed tomorrow. I would not miss it at all. About 70% of the shots attempted now are 3's. It really takes the artistry out of basketball.
  9. I know there are some of us who saw this Bill Walton But for many, Bill is now Basketball Announcer Extraordinaire, Ambassador of "The Conference Of Champions!"
  10. Unfortunately, later in the segment on "College Football Live", Jen Lada did not ask Desmond which team Cincy should replace...but let's think about that. Next, Oregon and Ohio State were the the topic and Jen asked Desmond what he'd have to see from Ohio State to secure a place in the CFP. "Well we have to see the Buckeyes that we've seen against Akron, against Rutgers, against Maryland. They kicked butt and took names." He did say later that the Buckeyes can't have a close game against Nebraska, As for Oregon? Desmond believes that Oregon, Needs to win impressively against a team they should win impressively against, they should handle their business against the Huskies." Fortunately. David Pollack wrapped it up. "If Oregon runs the table, I think Oregon will be in the College Football Playoffs."
  11. I was able to get a pic of my cousins prepping for the game tomorrow.
  12. Jon Wilner weighs in on the issue. Washington coach Jimmy Lake's comments about Oregon's academic 'prowess' wasn't smart and can't be defended.
  13. "Taken out of context" I love it, not as good as Charles Barkley claiming he as misquoted in his autobiography, but at least he tried. As to Gordon. what I think is the big play here is not the Husky whining, but, as the article cites, why is he still hung up on that. He would not be if it had been any team other than Oregon, On the question of "Which Philosophy is better?" It goes beyond football. Lake, Gordon, Softy urging Lake on to be a blabbering idiot. That is Washington's philosophy, Oregon? Boring Press Conferences.
  14. I have cousins who are Husky fans, since the 70's. They were with me and my family in Autzen for the Mark Lee punt return, Pretty much all I had over them was relative NFL careers of Sonny Sixkiller and Dan Fouts. We haven't been to any games together for a while, neither were there for. "The Pick" but it made for a fun phone call. Of course there was the "12" not to be confused with the Seahawks, this was all about Ducks dominance! You'd have thought the Huskies had won a Championship after 70-21, and then the next year too. But, its back to the way it should be now.
  15. "You can't teach old dogs new tricks" It's its the way it is. If UW had anything resembling a Track team, their sprinters would start 20 meters ahead in the 100 meters race .Basketball is just as bad, This is an iconic moment in Ducks-Huskies lore
  16. So basically Grampa Husky is sitting in his rocking chair, his W hat on his head, purple blanket wrapped around to keep him warm. "Bow, cough, wheeze Down, cough, shake to Washington. Go Huskies" Meanwhile, Mom and Dad Husky fan are telling the Pups, "Grampa is okay. He just gets this way when the Huskies play the Ducks, When he was your age, even our age. the Huskies beat the Ducks ALL the time." "But mom, 14 of the last 16, 12 in a row, Heisman Trophy. Now the Ducks win Rose Bowls, They played in the National Championship Game twice, and what about 2007?" "Yes" the parents told their pups, tears forming in all of their eyes. "It has been a long time since this has really been a rivalry. But, but, oh, the blanket fell off Grampa, we're coming".
  17. Lake is the 7th coach the Huskies have had since James left in 1992, so statistically he has a few more years to go. But, as Haywardduck just mentioned, after the Ducks beat the Dawgs on Saturday, and then the Cougars take care of them in the Apple Cup. UW will drain the Lake.
  18. The headline of this article just made me shake my head, Texas' Steve Sarkisian not fazed by difficulty of Longhorns job: 'I knew what I signed up for'.
  19. This is exactly what Colin Cowherd was espousing yesterday. Alabama doesn't just get a nudge because of their wins, but because, "They're loaded with 4 & 5 star talent. They play in front of 90,000 every game, they're allowed to lose one. If they lose 2, they're out. Cincinnati and their fans should be savoring the attention they're getting this season."
  20. No doubt that Mario will KO. If he doesn't than Pigs will be flying.
  21. Oh my, They're gonna look like the Ducks!!!! Love it!!!
