  1. A few weeks ago, I was certain that Thompson would be the QB in 2021, he looked that good in the highlights. But, then I sat back, read some other posts here, and paused, that perhaps throwing a true freshman in to the fire when there are more experienced quarterbacks available, might not be the best idea. The quarterback competition needs to be just that. Brown, Butterfield, Ashford, Thompson, will all have their chance to impress the coaches and the hierarchy set. I trust that whoever it is that emerges as the starting QB will give the Ducks their best shot at winning, at Ohio State, the Pac-12 championship for the 3rd year in a row, and maybe the playoff.
  2. . The best CEO's, and that's what a football coach at a championship caliber team is, assembles the staff, then lets them do their jobs. It's worked just fine at 'Bama.
  3. This article from NBC Sports Northwest goes in depth with money and contract issues and why having the Raiders cut him loose could get his career back on track.
  4. A blow out and a nail biter, can't ask for more than that!
  5. Jaz Shelley's 3 finished the scoring for the Ducks in a game where they had four players in double figures, led by Sydney Parrish with 17. Erin Boley had 13, Sedona Prince and Nyara Sabally both finished with 11. More about the game from NBC Sports Northwest
  6. It's not what I was thinking when I wished Tyler the best when he entered the transfer portal, but according to this story from zonazealots.com, it's mutual.
  7. While we all know that the Ducks haven't won in Colorado, Colorado hasn't done much better in Oregon, 2-8, and tonight, with a good chance of this guy announcing the game, the Ducks will look to make it 2-9. 247sports.com has a preview
  8. A great example of this is Kyler Murray, at the professional level. He was drafted by the Oakland A's, but decided to sign with the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL. Mike Trout makes alot of money, and Fernando Tatis, Jr. just signed a $300 Million deal with the San Diego Padres. from sportingnews.com
  9. Read how Grammy winner DJ Khaled is walking on air in this article from 247sports.com
  10. Not to give it away, I love the selection, and if it plays out, will be tremendous!
  11. This will be the only comparison made between Darron Thomas and Tyler Shough, of course DT was much more accomplished when his head was turned by Marcus.
  12. They were Pac-12 Freshman Of The Week consecutively in November, 2020. From wikipedia.org de Laura, the week of Nov.9 and Hector, the week of Nov. 16.
  13. For the second time in two weeks...
  14. The Women's team is one of the top 20 teams, actually, better than that.
  15. I can't agree with this enough! Taylor was exactly what was missing in the game , especially in the final seconds.
  16. Marcus Mariota signed a contract with Las Vegas last season, making him the highest paid back-up quarterback in the NFL. But chances are good that he won't be a Raider when the next seasons starts. From NBC Sports Northwest
  17. That definitely needs to be a point of emphasis. Her game definitely ended up on the - side in all the area's you mentioned, and with that the Ducks still almost won. Nyara has to become a + on the court. This is part of the "Identity" problem. This year's team is better playing full court, and bogs down when it attempts to set up half court plays. But, Nyara & Sedona are too good of players to not learn how to incorporate them in to the offense. The effect of lack of practice and games is obvious here.
  18. I am impressed with UCLA. USC has to practically UN-recruit to not do well. But UCLA football doesn't have any juice locally. Chip has to have become more interested in the recruiting process for UCLA to have that ranking. We'll see how Washington does in the Lake era, and for now OSU is doing what it can, and using the transfer portal.
  19. Fantastic news. The Ducks looked great in their first five games, even got one where they had to come from behind. The hitting was strong, throughout the lineup, fielding isn't perfect, but there were some outstanding plays, and it will just get better, and the pitching? Oh my!
  20. I's getting close to March, and as "Madness" approaches, Oregon fans have come to know that is the time for a cool comfortable calmness to take over. from sportspac12.com
  21. Now that you put it that way. I can curb my enthusiasm for Thompson, however talented he looks to be, from becoming the starter. Let's go, Butterfield!
