I would love to see this staff show a high level work resume while at Oregon, and potentially stick for a while. The reality may be, (probably to OBDF chagrin) that with the current cut throat nature of college football finance, we may not be so lucky, I'm personally hoping these guys have the character to stick it out for a while and show how special this crew is.

"Pay NO attention to the man behind the curtain!"

Watching Loclyn's men take the field, I believe he embraces not only teaching, but learning as evidenced by his relationship with former players and, Coach Campbell. Dude may never be a head coach, but he could be a lifer as RB coach, and leave a nice legacy for himself.

The O is clicking, no sacks on the season, and a lot less bonehead penalties than recent memory shows.

Ducks aren't perfect, but it beats the old O. Nice to see them keep BYU out of the end zone at the end.

Boy's are definitely playing with a little fire in their bellies!

It's going to be a contest to see which develops faster, the O or the D?

Oregon DUCKS 35-17/2/3/305. Seems like time for a trip down Memory Lane for a Ty Detmer-esque Takedown.

First win as a Duck, and the birth of a son... Congratulations seem in order. Now get back to work!

Any word on McGee?

Nice twist on a pick six!

What, you never attended a Deadhead gathering? Supervising a group of hs students in a concession booth on the North rim of Autzen was a 'high' point in my life...

There have been 'fog bowl' games played in Autzen, where some spectators were delighted to actually see the ball pop above the fog on an occasional pass attempt. I think the smoke will not approach that level of impenetrability today. Hopefully the existing ash is vacuumed up prior to kickoff.

Oregon, 42-17 2 TO 1 Sack 297 Pass Yards

I thought the same thing at the time.

Cota had one great reception, then left the field, at least temporarily, later in the game after being on the receiving end of a huge hit to the lower rib/gut area. Not sure if he returned.

"Don't Let This Loss Define The Rest Of This Season!"

To be honest, it looked like DL had a bit of deer in the headlights look at times. I wouldn't blame him if he did... That was a ridiculous stage for a first game as HC. The fact that he appeared to remain calm in the face of that level of adversity is impressive. No screaming meltdowns. Impressive lack of penalties for this first game.

Ouch

Oregon, 24-20 2 TO 5 Sacks 235 Yards Passing

If we're "flagging thought crime" here, the preponderance of penalties should fall on whomever thought these guys were a good choice for 'officials'!

At this point, it's a crap shoot... I'm rolling with Seven.

Is it 'ok' to label Lanning a first year success if he goes to the playoff, followed by signing a LO0oooooong term extension this post season?

New Nerdbraska NIL opportunity? Game Used, player autographed, "Launch Buckets"!

FIFY...
