What to Remember as a Member of This Forum After a Loss...
Since Saturday, I have avoided this site. I was simply too gutted to follow Charles' very reasonable rules. I would have been nothing but expletives and hanging saliva strings. Unbecoming behavior for a 70-year-old man. But boy, if I were only 69, I would have lit this place up! Now, I'm all mature and stuff. It's a disappointing year, no matter what happens from here on out. They say winning teams have a certain "it" factor. This team seems to have a certain "it isn't here" factor.

Prediction Contest: Oregon vs. Portland State...Join Us!
52-6 Ducks 3 5 303 Notably, almost no one has picked us to beat the spread (or even come close). That is a first in the history of the prediction contest, and a sign of how far this mess has fermented.

...and I would. But do I want him coaching my BD? I no longer know.

Time To Believe Your Own Eyes?
I do bet, and I bet on Boise State last weekend. Of course, I rooted against my financial interest because I wanted the Ducks to win by a hundy. But free money is free money. We all knew we weren't going to cover that number.

Broken Donator Button
I tried to buy Charles another Mercedes through the donate button and it appears to be busted. How can we shower our leader with boodle if the button is busted? Go Ducks!

Prediction Contest for the SEASON! Join Us!
Jiminy Christmas, folks. I've never seen so much wide-eyed confidence in all my years I'm afraid we aren't going to be able to beat Ohio State just yet. 10-2 Playoffs Lose in the semis.

Oregon vs. Boise State....Give Us YOUR Prediction!
I hate opening the season against those Spudknockers. I know we're a huge favorite, but I say we win 38-27 2 turnovers 5 sacks 288 passing yards

Post-Game Thoughts: Will Oregon Grow From This?
It's hard enough to get beat, but it is even harder when we are out-hit and at our own house. Very depressing. (And I crawled out of a COVID hospital bed for this.)

Well, That Sucks. Post-Game Discussion...
I wasn't going to be surprised by "beaten," or "defeated." But "embarrassed". I didn't see that coming.

I Have Gameday Jitters 28 hours Before Kickoff
Last week, I came to terms with the fact that the bracket is unfair. We will have to play the best teams to get where we want to go. Last week, I comforted myself with the knowledge that we have a better coach. Last week, I laughed when Colin Cowherd said we have a bad defense and picked the Bucks. Last week, I laughed at the memory that I once wanted Cam Ward to lead our team. Now it's this week, and I am scared, uh, constipated. I think we're the better team, but the ball bounces where it will. We need this Natty, before they put guardrails on the NIL system and even the playing field. We all know they will. Right now we're a "have" on an uneven playing field. I know that you know that, and I don't care. Because, I need this Natty. Before I die. It would wash away the mange piled on veteran OBD message boarders by Husky fans from days of yore. It would wash away the memories of Mario Cristobal running up the middle, and Willie Taggart running away like the dog he is. It would wash away the memories of TCU and the Alamo Bowl when we couldn't take a snap. It would wash away the memories of Dennis Dixon. Poor Dennis Dixon. I have favorite teams in many other sports, and I WANT World Championships for those teams. But, I NEED this Natty.

Mighty Oregon 44-14 3 TO 4 Sacks 316 pass yds- You Know, I'm Just a Small-Time Schmuck...
To put a bow, I'm not saying the calls were all right. Just that the errors weren't because of "corruption." And, if some of you want to feel put-upon by announcers, I can't change your minds. At any rate, how does National Champion Oregon Ducks sound? I could die a happy man. And Charles knows how close I've come before. 🙂- You Know, I'm Just a Small-Time Schmuck...
Isn't that what this whole forum has been saying since Saturday? Are we any better? No, we're not. (We are, however, happier!) 😜🤪😝🤩 Go Ducks!- You Know, I'm Just a Small-Time Schmuck...
...but I officiated all three major sports, two of them professionally. I did it all without favor or extra regard for either team, calling the balls and strikes as I saw them, and to the best of my ability. Later, as a broadcaster, I called the games and gave honest opinions. I didn't favor either team, because it was hard enough work just keeping track of who made the tackle, entered the game, and left the contest. Still later, a journalist. Honest, hard-working, rinse, repeat. If I, a small-time schmuck, could do that, why is it hard to believe that the officials, announcers, et al. are as honest as they can be? Why must the narrative be they were as crooked as three dollar bills, out to get OBD at every turn? Bad calls will happen, but they can happen due to a mistake, a bad angle, or a bang-bang play. It doesn't have to be a conspiracy. Trust me, announcers care more about doing a good job and having a good show than some imagined grudge against OBD. Todd Blackledge has zero reason to be anti-OBD. Zero reason! OBD are big-time, folks! Let's be big-time fans. After all, we're Oregon fans, and they don't come any better in all the land. Probably a minority opinion, but I had to weigh in after reading since the game on Saturday. Go Ducks!- Ohio State Game Articles, Information and Prep
"Having a beer at the oldest bar in Dublin (Ireland). Wearing an OSU hat and the bartender says he'll never forgive Ohio State for costing him 12k Euros when they lost to Oregon in '21. Ryan Day's tyranny knows no borders. Ryan Day is a tranny? That's the kind of hard-hitting news I come to FishDuck to see! (oh, did I read that wrong?)- OBD Prediction Contest vs. Ohio State!
OSU 31-20 3 t.o. 3 sacks 288 passing yards (I'm never confident about these kinds of games the night before. I might feel different in the morning. LET'S HIT SOMEBODY!)- Washington vs. Rutgers: "Good-or-Good?"
OBD has been better than Washington over the decades. *Check* Better than them over the lifespan of recruits *Check*. But we haven't been better three times in a row, and that must end, or it will have become a pattern, just like it used to be. A good way for us to be better is to be great. But a better way for us to be better is for us to be great, for them to be average, and for that reality to be burned into the eyeballs of every good recruit and every top transfer portal player in the land! I root for the Huskies to lose to everyone, everywhere, and that includes that little team in Corvallis from that hand-me-down conference. - OBD Prediction Contest vs. Illinois: Join Us!
