  1. It is from another site that claims a source with inside information. Others have noted that Dan Lanning sounded like he was under the weather earlier in the week. I had something in late August that mostly drained my energy. Apparently that is what has been going around.
  2. Washington kicks a field goal deep in Iowa territory while down by 27. I guess they don't want to be embarrassed by being scoreless.
  3. 35-24 Oregon 1 turnover 2 Sacks 325 Passing Yards
  4. Hopefully, it isn't a health issue regarding him or a close family member. Otherwise, though, the timing is very strange. Maybe he woke up and just decided he didn't want to go through a season with talent in the lower half of the conference?
  5. While little can compare to the fun of Washington's 0-12 season in 2008, even 5-7 would be enjoyable. The Huskies are 3- 2, with their three wins against non-conference cupcakes, including a 16-14 win at home against Utah State. Their loss at USC might have been their best-played game of the year so far. Looking ahead on their schedule, they have Iowa, Oregon, and Indiana still on the schedule. An improved Nebraska team on the road is not a gimme. They should be underdogs in those games. They should be favored at Purdue and Michigan State, but Purdue has improved a bit. The Husky run offense is currently hampered by its three top running backs out with injuries. Had even one been available, they likely would have beaten USC. As they become available, I assume their run offense will improve. Here is a summary of their unenviable situation at running back: AI Overview: University of Washington running backs Quaid Carr and Jayden Limar are sidelined until at least November 1, 2026, with potential for longer or late-season absences. Head coach Jedd Fisch announced that the top running backs will not be re-evaluated until November 1, keeping them out for multiple key games. Running Back Injury Status Player Name Position / Status Injury & TimelineQuaid Carr Sophomore / Out Hand surgery; targeted for a late-season return or re-evaluation on November 1Jayden Limar Senior / Out Elbow injury; won't be re-evaluated until November 1 with an uncertain exact time-line. Julian McMahan Sophomore / Out Season-ending ankle injury sustained in practice Jordan Washington Junior / Status Undetermined Sidelined with a lingering preseason neck injury.
  6. In their 24/7 sites, both fan bases are very unhappy with the game. Hard to beat that.
  7. They were only able to run for fewer than 40 yards at Indiana. It is hard to tell how good or bad their run game is. It certainly looked world class this evening. Maybe Indiana's run defense is super good, or may Penn State's is horrible, or some of both. The game this evening certainly makes the Northwestern game more of concern for us. BTW: Chiles looked like a Heisman candidate tonight.
  8. Yes, clearly. He has shown he can recruit and develop QBs. His play-calling has always been very good. We don't like USC, but has he been the most obnoxious head coach we have ever seen? I would put Dee Andros, Rick Neuheisel, Don James, Jim Lambright, Jim Harbaugh, and others far above on that list. Note, though, that I chair the Give Riley A Contract Extension organization.
  9. 45-14. Four sacks. Oregon throws for 370 yards and runs for 200.
