  1. One thing I don't think can be overlooked is the impact of the timing of the playoff last year as it relates to the transfer window. As we all know, we lost both coordinators. We were heads down focused on beating Indiana in the playoff. And I don't think it's easy to grasp the competing priorities at that time of year. Not only are you trying to focus on winning a game. You're also trying to focus on retaining your players, which we all know didn't work out well for so many who left. You're also trying to keep those players from leaving to the coordinators that they know. And then you're trying to attract new talent or compete for transfer talent as well. With both coordinators leaving, the vast majority of that all falls on one man, Dan Lanning, something has to give, and you saw a disproportionate loss of talent as well as underutilizing the portal... and I believe that is catching up to us now, especially with the O-Line...
  2. Good article. And… the Big Ten is on the verge of having 5 teams in the Elite Eight, where the SEC will be lucky to have one…
  3. Peyton Bair with the huge projected point get! Football helping T&F...
  4. Not sure if this was mentioned, but we can't forget that in '14/15 and in '24/25, those were the first years expanding the CFP, from 2->4 and from 4->12, both expansion years opened the door to a lower ranked Ohio State team to make the field and both years Ohio State went on to win it all. A year earlier, Ohio State would not have made the field and who know what would have happened...
  5. You can't ignore what Kirby Smart built (back to back champs), and that 2019 LSU team that had just a couple ok NFL players...
  6. Good point, Tosh is likely the biggest factor...
  7. Apologies if this is covered in another thread. Is there a systemic issue here with the Oregon D-Line? We've lost the vast majority of all backups, I realize the portal affects all teams and these guys want playing time, but I find it hard to believe Oregon isn't willing to try to retain them with NIL/etc, and is there a systemic issue here where they are all fed up with the starters coming back and then all collectively walked? isn't it 7 maybe 8 who have left? Seems extreme especially for those that are freshmen, showing promise and are still learning. Thoughts?
  8. He can only improve from this year, and it's not like Raiola or another QB is more of a sure thing... What stands out to me is his drop-off in production compared to Bo Nix and Dillon Gabriel. However, if he can produce like Nix did in year 2? Wow. QB stats 2025 - Moore - 3565yds, 72%, 30 Tds, 10 INTs 2024 - Gabriel - 3857, 73%, 30, 6 2023 - Nix - 4508, 77%, 48, 3 2022 - Nix - 3593, 72%, 29, 7 And if his returns helps us get this guy? lookout... https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/football/2026/01/14/oregon-football-jordan-seaton-dante-moore/88183853007/
  9. Fun fact, I spoke to his mother last week at the game, and she alluded to him returning and that he was excited to have the opportunity to shine as the #1 TE next year. We discussed how he has had the opportunity to learn and grow from one of the best TEs in Oregon history. I then made a joke that Dillon Thineman was my son and I was proud of him and asked if she saw a resemblance (which there is not)...
  10. I stand by my assessment while there, 60:1 ratio IU to Oregon fans. All the above made a perfect storm, coupled with previous CFP game for them being the Rose Bowl and this the first one within easy striking distance. When I close my eyes, I can still hear the damn “Hoo, hoo, hoo, Hoosiers!” chant…
  11. This. Is. Awful. Be grateful you’re not here.
  12. No humans were harmed in the digital creation of these images. I'm throwing a party on Friday, so naturally I needed a good flyer... but feel free to use for your own amusement... Warning 2nd image may be graphic for some viewers... Enjoy.
