  1. The best news? Crickets from South Bend. Miami beat ND, and beat the team that also beat ND. 😁👍👌❤️😍. Miami did not leave Florida before November, when the Canes tripped to Dallas to play and lose to SMU. Mario is now 1-1 in Texas, with the next game in the Cotton Bowl on December 31st. Today's game featured not-so-special teams. As was the case against Texas, the A&M offense was nowhere to be found. Aggies fans are probably happy to say 'Adios' to OC Colin Klein on his return to the Little Apple. Road teams in 1st round PO games are now 4-2. Miami, great defense played today, but if you can't score against A&M, what about TOSU? This is an A&M D that gave up 41 points to Notre Dame and 42 points to Arkansas. With some of the licks on Miami's DBs, are all of the U's DBs going to be ready to go on New Year's Eve? Ohio State's WRs are 'slightly' better than the Aggies' WRs. The Buckeyes open at -10.5 Saturday BlitzThe initial line for Miami–Ohio State is a brutal indictm...The Miami Hurricanes went on the road on Saturday and upset Texas A&M, giving the program it's biggest win since the early 2000's. 2. Not to jinx any team we know 😁, but the way this season has gone, how about the ACC vs the B12 for the title? 🤪
  3. The way this Season of the Which has gone, how about a title game of Tulane vs. Oklah ..., er, OREGON?
  4. Someone, please take both coaches out for a triple cheeseburger, chocolate shake, and a double order of greasy frend fries. Where's the Great Pumpkin when you need him?
  5. ND, thanks for the spot on take. As you so noted, a meltdown decision by Mateer and the team fell apart to the point where it looked like the fix was in. The punter muffs a perfect snap. Mateer throws a pass for a pick six that was supposed to go to ...? How to upchuck a 17 point lead. A terrific win by Bama and DeBoer, first expanded playoff road win, but the OK coaches lost their poise and concentration and the team followed suit. A lot of the good will Venables built up this season after going 6-7 the prior two seasons left with the early departing crowd. I'm surprised Boz didn't make an arrest. Bama heads to Pasadena with Mo along for the ride. Best of luck to your Dawgs in the Sugar Bowl. Give Ole Miss the Kiff of PO death. PS - What happened to Bama WR Ryan Williams?
  6. Both of these teams looked shaky tonight. Hats off to Bama, but OK did all it could to help Bama come back in this game. I like Indiana in the Rose Bowl vs. Bama. And following the Massey composite rankings, I think Indiana, Ohio State, and OBD are 1, 2, and 4. A nod to No. 3 Texas Tech, but I see OBD winning a hard-fought Orange Bowl game. (Knock on my head 😁)
  7. Spot On! Especially, with 14 new starters and many injuries.
  8. Good call. But if DeBoer wins in Norman, I don't think he'll be able to put out a Cig in Pasadena. 😉 A score over DeBoer could Just Mean More, no doubt, but I want revenge for this season's loss. 🤬
  9. If you call Joey, Fat again, I'll have your legs broken. 😁 BTW, for more Jeopardy-like useless historic information, call 1- 800 - WHO- CARES. DUNK the DUKES!
  10. Thanks, Jordan. JMU took A(n) C(urious) C(ourse) to the PO, which was aided and abetted by a once-great basketball conference tie-breakers, and a choke in Charlotte. I do not believe it will matter tomorrow, but JMU was named after the guy, Jemmy, who his peers, including Franklin and Jefferson, considered to be the brightest of their bunch. Jemmy has the distinction of going 2-0 as a wartime president, and he also won the peace after both wars, a singular achievement for a president of the USA. In 1814, when the British sacked DC, Jemmy and his wife, Dolly, were among the last to evacuate the President's House. Dolly refused to leave the burning premises without taking the portrait of George Washington with them. I imagine Jemmy would be proud of his football team, and he would have been happy about knocking the PO out of Duke, but not wild over the moniker, Dukes. With all due respect to James, Dolly, and the Commonwealth of Virginia, Destroy the Dukes!
  11. There were six rematches in FBS football this season. Five of the first game losers, including Wazzu, which blasted Beavis the 2nd time around, won the rematch. The team that was 2-0? Texas Tech with two blowouts of BYU.
  12. OOOOOOOOOOOO, Oklahoma! With a D that brings the pain! And the Sooners fans can make plans to head the Rose Bowl way. 24 to 17, I'll say. 😁 FWIW - Oklahoma is one of the few teams with an overall winning record vs The Tide - 5-2-1 - Venables 2 - DeBoer 0 - Since 2000, Oklahoma has the best home record in CFB.
  13. ESPN's Bill Connelly, DraftKings, and SP+ Look at 1st Round PO Games - Split on Bama at Oklahoma; unanimous for A&M, Ole Miss, and OBD - Per SP+ OBD's O ranks 13th. OBD's D ranks 5th - The best Oregon Defense in 67 years! Six rematch games in CFB this season. The only team that won both games was Texas Tech's double-beatdown of BYU by 22 and 27 points. 14. Top players on teams OBD will play in 2026 who are off to the NFL - USC - WR Makai is out of eligibility. QB Mavai returns, but Safety Kamair Ramsey and WR Ja'Kobi Lane have declared for the draft. And DC D'Anton Lynn is rumored to be returning to his alma mater, Penn State, in the same role. Nebraska - Big Ten RB of the Year, Emmett Johnson, has declared for the draft. Moore to follow?
  15. Saturday Down South likes OBD B1G - I differ on his picks of Bama over Oklahoma and Miami over A+M - But his pick of Ole Miss isn't Lame 😁 Saturday Down SouthPredictions for each Round 1 Playoff gameWhat will the first round of the 2025 College Football Playoff look like? Let's predict the weekend action.
  16. He's mature on his own right and has family members and advisors who will help with this decision. I'm not qualified to make this decision, especially without knowing the financial difference between staying and leaving. What do you think, Alex? Should he stay or go? With Klubnik and Nussmeier falling short of projections, Allar injured, and Simpson not playing well vs. Georgia, this could be the year for Dante to go to the League. But I've never heard any pro say that the NFL is a better experience than college.
  17. In today's mailbag, the Athletic's Stewart Mandel also mentioned that Whit could be interested in the Michigan job. Stewart also referred to Michigan AD Warde Manuel as a 'dead man walking.' I doubt that playing ball for Saint Bo will save Warde's job. What do I know, especially when considering the dough? 🤑
  18. If you are watching at home, you will have to listen to some guys droning on while watching endless SEC highlights, including how great Ole Miss looked without Lame.🤬☹️😴 This and interminable play reviews are why I begin watching the recording at 9:00 Eastern. Will the weather allow for flight clearance? The predicted weather could put OBD in a sloppy slog fest. I watched this movie vs. Wisconsin and at Iowa. Dump, Damage, and Destroy the Dukes!
  19. Want to find Whit? Park City is one of the Utah ski areas that is open. He got what he wanted after last season's no-show. He is leaving a ranked football team behind for his buddy, Morgan Scalley, to coach. He has as much of a chance to be the next coach in Ann Arbor as Conner Stalions. 😁

  21. Riley has his QB, Maiva, coming back. OBD will see Maiva in LA in 2026. Fortunately, Riley and Maiva will not be making Lemonade. 😁The Biletnikoff award winner is off to the NFL. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/jayden-maiava-usc-trojans-lincoln-riley-2026-season-transfer-portal/
