Canzano: Oregon to Get a Rude Awakening in the B1G?
Predicting the Final 2024 BigTen Conference Standings WWW.UWDAWGPOUND.COM Now that we have the opponents for the BigTen teams in 2024, we can start... I know this is from behind enemy lines but this Fusky seems to think Ducks will do just fine.

Game Strategy - Receive Opening Kickoff or Defer to 2nd Half?
My opinion, defer and punch them in the mouth defensively. Steal first possession and set the tone. Let Fusky know immediately how this is going to go down.

Wowsa. Lanning Just Matched the Second-Best Recruiting Year EVER

Breaking: Edge Elijah Rushing Flipping to Oregon?
Great news to start a Monday morning with. He is not a Duck yet but atleast Oregon has a shot at this guy. Is Rushing a day one starter talent? Maybe, guess that depends on what Lanning can do in the portal this off season. The move to the B1G probably playes a small part IF Rushing chooses Oregon. IMO though, the play of the 23' Oregon defensive front is a huge part IF Rushing actually flips to Oregon. Lanning has a lot of work to do before the 24' season kicks off. Great start landing Laulea yesterday. Now land Rushing and get a head start on rebuilding this roster for 24'

B1G: How Much Bigger Will Oregon's Audience Grow?
It might not grow as much as we think coming off the blocks. The natural bump most likely comes from the fans of new conference members. Naturally some of the fans of old conference members will tune out. Early in the season people will be curious and tune in. After a couple games I could see fans lose interest if Oregon isn't very competitive. A previous thread points out the struggles Oregon could face next year. If Oregon can't replace personel lost in the off season and remain competitive, fans will tune out. Ducks have a very young and inexperienced coach so this is a real possibility. Hopefully Oregon can figure it out a remain competitive. There is a flip side to every coin. And perhaps Oregon remains competitive at the top of the B1G. If that happens the whole country will be tuned in and the Oregon fan base grows tremendously. My opinion is that Oregon shows up and balls out. But thats a tough schedule. Here's hoping for the best.

NCAA Does Away With 25 New Player Limit
I agree, college football hasn't been amateur for decades. Look at the size of the modern day coaching staff, the assistance, nutritionist, strenth and conditioning, recruiting support and on and on. Look at the hours these staffs put into it just to stay competitive. To call it amateur is laughable. The mountains of cash alone is mind blowing.

Ducks Improve Historically in 2023
The past 30 years has been good to Oregon. Since 1995 they have had 2 losing seasons. One in 04" under Bellotti and one in 16" under Helf. 6 losing conference records during same time frame. Ducks have had some dominate years in the modern era. Arguably, They have been the flagship program of the Pac. The modern era is what matters imo. Next year Ducks move to the B1G and Pac records and accomplishments will no longer be built on. It won't take long before the Pac is a distant memory. Sad imo. I hope Ducks can continue the success in the B1G they have established in the Pac. That they can boast numbers that put them at the top of the B1G statistically right out of the gate. First year in, from what many say, could be a huge challenge. Ducks will be rebuilding a huge chunk of their roster. A daunting task for any head coach. We will see if Lanning is up to the challenge or if the first 18 months of his tenure was simply beginners luck. Going to be fun watching this new era unfold over the next few years. It's my belief that the Ducks will become a true national power that is feared and respected.

Oops, Mari (no O) Has Done it Again
Mariø is the worst coach in college football. How this guy got to this position is beyond me. The guy is a joke.

Do Oregon Fans ‘GET’ How Special the 2023 Team Is?
I saw the article. A huge chunk of those players were aquired within about 18 months of each other. Lannings been HC for less than 1.5 seasons. Most of the Dudes on this team, Lanning brought in. So since Lanning took the job he loaded this team with elite players. Implemented his vision and has them playing at a high level. There was an article about Ducks being Different. Lanning is the reason. And the Ducks are different in a way that we haven't seen since CK if ever. That is also because of Lanning. I guess if a rebuild is now defined within the confines of an off season then ok. But to me that is a reload. I point to what Lanning did last off season to support my argument. Every weakness from last year is now a strength. Every one! Can anybody here point to a position group that is weak? I don't see one. So Lanning didn't show us a rebuild from the time he was hired. He just loaded up in his first full offseason. I don't see that changing. Dan's been a part of some of the best coaching staffs in the country. Two of them don't rebuild they reload. And Dan Lanning seems to have been as good of a pupil and he is a teacher. If a one or two loss season is considered a failure (like at Bama) one day at Oregon, how sweet it will be. I don't think Lanning is interested in rebuilds, doubt he has the patients or tolerance for it. It's not in his DNA imo. And the proof spans his entire coaching career. We will see if I am wrong by mid 25' season.

Do Oregon Fans ‘GET’ How Special the 2023 Team Is?
No team in the country can replace Bo. It is what it is. But Lanning will fill the position with a above avg QB. It's what lanning does. Lanning built this team in a little over a year. Dan sees a problem and he fixes it. There are studs all over this football team. Lanning put them there, coached them and made them better. Why are we thinking just because Bo leaves Oregon will be in a rebuild. Coach has done nothing to back that claim. We will see over the off season. But my bet is Laning reloads the chamber for another shot next year. He hasn't shown me anything contrary to that.
