  1. Oregon is nowhere to be seen on espn ncaaf home page, I just looked. Wierd, they are the #8 team in the country. Probably the most balanced team and the starting Heisman contending QB had over 300 yrds, 3 td and no TO's. Is it about respect or something else? Has there ever been a time that the #8 team, after a huge blowout win, is left out of the conversation? Ever? Dan's pregame speech was not well recieved with many. Some nasty things were said about Oregons coach. I don't know what it means, if anything. Recent history makes you wonder though. But just win, let them ignore Oregon. Conference alignment shows the power of espn to dictate terms of how college football will operate and be narrated. Hmm... very strange if you ask me.
  2. Az held Fusky to 31. Well below Fusky avg. Penix had over 300 yrds passing but zero TD. The energy is going to be off the hook on Oct 14th. Both teams will be different than what we saw this week from that energy alone. Bye weeks aren't always advantageous. Especially when a team is rolling. You just want to keep the momentum going. If one stumbles off the bye week, it could decide the game. Az has a decent defense. Nothing like what the Ducks field when they are focused and motivated. But holding Penix and Fusky to 31 will be a challenge on the road. It's a possibility that Popo and Jackson are a no go. If so, I think the depth of Oregon comes through big. Hate to lose those guys and hopefully JJ will be a go. All said, I am not nervous about this game. Super excited tho. This is going to be an epic battle. Whoever loses isn't out of the conversation. But the winner takes control of their own destiny. I like Oregon by 7-10. I think the D is going to secure the win late. Solidify themselve into the national conversation in UGA like fashion. Go Ducks!
  3. Just saw this, Oregon has surrendered 3 TD in the last 16 quarters of football. Thats pretty impressive considering the 3's have played about 5 of them.
  4. DUCati855, congrats. But let me warn you... If you ever predict an Oregon loss... there will be pitchforks and tiki torches in your future. 😉 You are a savant! Well done.
  5. The Ducks have a defense that is every bit as good as the offense. Both came out flat v. Furd and the D was able to keep the opponent out of the endzone. Not once but twice. This is not a top 30/40 defense we were all hoping for to start the season. In my view, this is a top 10 defense that is getting better every week. And the Oregon D is backing up a top 10 offense. Yikes! This much improved D playes incredibly disciplined. They play with violent intent and an aggression we haven't seen as a collective unit in perhaps... ever! The tackling has been outstanding, to the ground and often as a group. One sack of Sanders last week could have been credited to 3 dudes. They are fast at all three levels and the secondary has been lockdown. Gone it seems, are the soft holes in the middle of the D. Leading to coverage sacks and throw aways. I could go on and on. I will say that I am way more critical of the Ducks when I watch their games v. Watching other games. Just the nature of being a fan. But so far, even with the added critical view, I don't see any future opposition being better than Oregon. And it might not be close. Thats not saying Ducks will win them all but but I love their chances. These dudes are really good and it will take a massive effort to beat them.
  6. Oregon is averaging over 50 pts a game. The D is giving up 11.8 Through 5 games Oregon has established a top 10 Offense and Defense. I don't know that anyone can beat this team when Ducks play with focused intent. The violence the defense brings almost every play is insane. The Evan Williams sack gave me chills. What a hit. Ducks play with bad intentions and Washington is next.
  7. I think the Ducks are the best team in the Pac. And it might not be close. Can't wait till the 14th. Husky doesn't have a clue whats about to happen to them. Husky ruined Ducks season last year on what many consider dirty pool. Lanning will have this team fired up and ready to extract revenge. Fusky gets smacked in the mouth in two weeks.
  8. Oregon came out lethargic and slow. Hats off to Lanning and the coaching staff. They got it turned around and completely shut Furd down. Thats a mark of a great team. One more feather in their cap. These experiences will be needed to draw on the rest of the season.
  9. That sack by Evan Williams was violent, my Good Gosh
  10. Should have had 15 more seconds but Dan was late getting that time out. 3 sacks 7 tfl. Ducks in pretty good shape considering the start
  11. Line opened up some holes finally. Result- touchdown Oregon
  12. 3 sacks 5 tfl. Gotta turn this around. Lets go Ducks
  13. Get the sack then give up the first. Not a good look.
