  1. This guy was smart to begin his story with a qualifier that Oregon is hard to know anything about. Good thing the game will be played on the field. Oregon has top 10 talent nationally. Shows Oregon has some "Nice" players. But they are not Georgia. Sewell and Flowe are "nice" players, but they arent Georgia. And on and on. After reading this I need to change my predictions. Georgia infinity Ducks nuthin And for the tie breaker, every play is going to be a sacumblception.
  2. As a moderator, you almost got your post deleted SGD. Haha! But you have been a great contributor all summer so I will let it slide. Thanks, it's been fun having you here.
  3. I want to see if Ducks linemen can move, Seal the edge. Seven in the backfield. Trips left pitch right. Even bring Seven in motion. See how quick the linemen can get there and seal the edge. McGee turns on the burners for a first down first play. Establish the run early using the whole field. Even put another back back there to pick up the back side. Not that Seven would be caught by a D lineman from behind. Three plays later... TOUCHDOWN OREGON!
  4. Breaking it down by hours. I like it!
  5. I disagree that Lanning and Cristobal are equal. We will see if Lanning is as bad as Mariø on game day. My gut says Lanning will be better. Lanning has already proven he is better elsewhere. You can see it in the culture. These guys are having fun and enjoying football again. In my mind, "unproven " does not equate to a downgrade. Experience doesn't necessarily make you better than the next guy.
  6. In a couple years, when people name B1G teams, Rutgers will come to mind before USC.

  8. The comments are interesting. Seems a lot of Dawg fans have little respect for Oregon. This is not 2021, not for UGA and definitely not for UO. Oregon has upgraded this team across the board. From coaching to players. Minus KT loss, every position group seemingly has more talent. Including linebackers with Flowe on the field. The unknown here is QB. Nix got his hat handed to him three years straight by UGA. Oregon has more talent than AU and Nix has proven to be Favre tuff. I like Oregon's chances.
  9. Like JH that 1 player didn't need to be developed. He is an absolute freak on the edge. The players that jumped early with eligibility remaining, chased fools gold. Should have stayed another year and get a few lessons from some actual teachers.
  10. Oregon has nothing to lose. A lose to Dawgs by 17 or less hurts the Ducks not a bit. I say open up the playbook, have fun and see what happens. Vegas spotted Ducks 17.5
  11. Challenges and opportunities, it'll all get worked out. Hopefully by Saturday. If not, soon enough.
  12. Don't rule out JC Jr at tackle. If the kid can play I say play him. He wouldn't be the first true freshman starting at the LT position. I know I know... "do you really want a freshman with zero college experience going against the defending champs?" If he is the best play the best.
  13. Donte Manning is going to turn a lot of heads this year. He is my break out player of this defense
  14. Welcome Gat. Glad you are here. Got some great Dawg fans here so it should be fun. Civility is a must here but hope you enjoy OBDF.
  15. By the end of 2022 season, JD will want nothing to do with Miami. If anything, I see a few blue-chips verballed elsewhere flipping over to Oregon. This is going to be an epic year in so many ways.
  16. Thanks DM, always enjoy your thoughtful post. I think the unknowns give Ducks an advantage early in the season. It's probably what frustrates Smart the most as he game plans the opener.Lanning has played this well with all the secrecy. By the start of conference play, with two competitive games played, much more will be known. looking for the play on the field to match the talent on paper by WSU game. If this happens, look out because this just might be the start of something special. If Oregon can execute at a high level on the field and sideline, Oregon could find itself top 3 or 4 by the end of season.
  17. A deep dive into the Georgia football showdown against Oregon DAWNOFTHEDAWG.COM The No.3 ranked Georgia football team will take on the No. 11 Oregon Ducks in one of the marquee games of the... I think UGA fans that have spent some time here on OBDF realize the obstacle Oregon poses to start the season. I think Oregon has two unknowns that will give UGA fits. Bo (if starter) and Flowe. Nix has all the skills to be a great QB. Between his ears under pressure is what concerns me most. It Bo figures out how to slow his head under pressure he could be very dangerous. Flowe is an absolute animal. Very little game experience or tape to confirm this. If JF goes out and plays to his instincts, Flowe will give KS fits all afternoon. Going to be a great match-up for week one. Ducks have nothing to lose. To quote Jack Black: "loosey-goosey baby"
  18. Great post OD. I love football nerds. The depth of Georgia might not be as big an issue in game one as perhaps game 5. I think Oregon hangs with UGA. Win or lose, this is going to be a great game.
  19. I hope it's competitive between the :00s on the clock. If it takes a field goal to win it last minute. No matter who wins I'm dancin. Be a huge statement by this Duck prog'rm.
  20. Dan Lanning is the aspirin kicking in after a very long headache. Sweet relief is bliss.
  21. I think CG was clocked at 23mph. Huge top end speed. 6'2" 210lbs. with great length. Has all the tools to shutdown his side of the field. Dudes played a lot of football. Safeties will have a field day knowing that side of the field is protected. Opens up a ton of options for Lanning defensively.
  22. Cornerback Christian Gonzalez helping guide Oregon Ducks secondary on and off the field WWW.GOOGLE.COM One of the most important additions to the No. 11 Ducks this offseason, Gonzalez was one of the top cover... Gonzalez could have a big year. Big and fast. Looking for him to be a hawk. Shut down half the field. Really open up the rest of the D.
