  1. Article in Around the O by a former UO student about working hard and enjoying the first win as a coach. Dick Harter: Holding Bricks in the Air
  2. One reason I never make predictions about Duck games is that I could never bring myself to predict a loss. 🙂
  3. Subject to change, I assume. Rivals 2022 Team Rankings
  4. One thing is--where does the money come from? I don't know what it's like at other universities, but Oregon is a "state-supported" school with the state contributing only about 10% of what it costs to run the university. The university does a lot of fundraising. Some donors make huge contributions to the academic and/or sports side. (And there are many big donors other than the one that immediately springs to mind. 🙂 )
  5. Maybe AB could make it in the CFL, though.
  6. Right now on CBSSN. He just completed a touchdown pass.
  7. His arms certainly look well toned.
  8. While I had thought that Travis might opt to go to the NFL, his decision to enter the portal is a total surprise to me. I wish him luck in whatever he does, but would love to see him change his mind and stay at OR for his final year.
  9. Report card time--interesting to see Oregon State's grade over Oregon's.
  10. I thought I saw DL on the sideline at least once.
  11. It was nice also to see Saban smiling when he was congratulating Kirby Smart after the game.
  12. Go Chargers! Go Justin! Step it up, Charger defense!
  13. And along that line, let us not forget Kellen Clemens.
  14. Some day I'd like to see Georgia or Alabama or you-name-the-school play the Ducks at a "neutral" site such as Allegiant Stadium.
  15. When will the work be finished? Will they be playing at Reser this coming season?
  16. Leadership Vacuum Jeopardizes Its Own Existence - Joe Moglia, Forbes.com, January 6, 2022
  17. I'd love to see a high-flying offense again. But when the Ducks are on the one-yard (or closer) line trying to score, I wouldn't mind seeing a QB sneak instead of a play that starts 3 yards back.
  18. The Duck goes undercover!
  19. Yep, the Ducks went down swinging.
  20. AB has talents and limitations, and also a lot of heart. I think what is phenomenal is that all things considered, the Ducks went 10-3 (so far. Go Ducks in the Alamo Bowl!).
  21. The Duck players that are going to participate in the Alamo Bowl sound excited, so I'm excited. Go Ducks!
  22. Interesting. It's natural MC would consider and then accept the Miami job, given that he played there, is from there, etc., but I do have to wonder now how distracted MC might have been during much the season.
  23. I am picky, but the title from the original author is kinda misleading; a Double-Agent is betraying one side in the end, while I'd like to think that Coach Lanning is doing right for both schools? Double Agent Dan: Lanning Working Jobs at Georgia and Oregon by Brooks Austin of Dawgs Daily
  24. For me, the Rose Bowl stadium is reason enough never to go there again. Admittedly, it was 2010 the last time I was there, so maybe things are much improved, but then the stairs were steep, uneven, and in some spots dangerously worn. The bathrooms and concession stands were outside the stadium. The video screen was small. And getting out of the stadium after the game was pure h*ll. The tunnel was jammed and so was the rest of the journey to the parking lot. It took us an hour to get from our seats to the bus. As I said, maybe things are better now, but I won't be going down there to find out.
  25. Some players moved from offense to defense? FOOTBALL PRACTICE REPORT: DEC. 26 by Rob Moseley of GoDucks.com
