  1. Lost in all of this are the players. Without their hard work and sacrifice in the class room, on the field and in the community, Mario wouldn’t have been a “hot commodity” and the head coaching job at the University of Oregon wouldn’t be so desirable. So THANK YOU. Also, realistically, with the money that is being thrown around, every program is a stepping stone to the University of the Almighty Dollar.
  2. Riley v Lanning = Magic v Bird 2.0, let's get ready to rumble!
  3. Darren, that was an A+++++ article. So, where's your dream website? And make a free site, otherwise adios!
  4. I think at this point, only coach speak would have come out. Need to wait until we have a OC
  5. He gets to leave once we get to 10 points, sometime around the 2 minute mark of the 4th quarter.
  6. I'm going to go old school here . . . . Mr. Toads wild ride.
  7. This is the same kid who decommitted and recommitted prior to signing originally.
  8. True, and that should be the aim. However, the correct call on Dyer's knee/elbow and/or DT making a block (I think it was Richard Sherman) for Mariota, we very well could have won a BCS and then a Natty v Notre Dame.
  9. Being in a transition away from the "prevent offense" and "cuckoo clock time management team" might make us part the OOC failure next year which is an Ok hiccup. And it will probably be the last year of 9 games with the new Commish and the Alliance.
  10. I'm a fan, so is my grandson who was Dexter for Halloween (parents put a deadbolt on their bedroom door Nov. 1st)
  11. Nix leaving Auburn where he was the #1 legacy recruit is very telling on the program in general.
  12. Rating = OVER RATED in a lot of instances as stars change based upon who offers. Get your kids AND coach 'em up.
  13. Per Fishduck "I believe everyone was served well, as Mario got to go home to a fat contract, while Oregon has the opportunity to take the next step." NAILED IT.
  14. So true. We have to play with the hand we are dealt. Youth is on our side.
  15. I am not going to fault the players one bit for opting out IF they have pro potential. There is no use risking your future for a bag of swag and bragging rights for boosters, alums and fans. They are not the ones that will feed your family in the future. I am sure we will never see an opt-out in the playoffs, or even a NY bowl.
  16. Wow, interesting article. And this explains why local sources, Canzano, Crepea, Feldman and Prehm, reported it wasn't a done deal after the Atlanta paper was reporting "the deal" on Friday.
  17. Hope the background check only showed his alma mater, William Jewell College in Missouri, as his dream job.
  18. Second call, Mr. Fishduck and his video library.
  19. The "hits" keep on coming. Oregon Ducks safety Bennett Williams returning for 2022 season, per source - oregonlive.com
  20. Switch to Chargers, go Justin
  21. Awesome/welcome coach. Now roll up the sleeves, keep as much of the recruiting class intact as possible, bring some Georgia Def studs with you and hit some assistant home run hires.
  22. I think uw's hire was way below Laning, especially recruiting wise; UCLA, mixed emotions from them, a large number wanted Kelly off their hands; OSU, 'nough said about little bro; usc only one with more name recognition, but that would be true of anyone we hire.
