No. We do not have the hubris of Notre Dame. Note how polite I was in describing the Domers.

Message Board meltdowns are both frustrating and understandable. We all need to know our limits. I tell myself it’s better to wait if I think I might cross lines. There’s a significant amount of self-talk on a day like today. But brother, it ain’t easy.

This is classic East Coast bias. Iowa, Michigan and Missouri ranked higher than OBD? Well, alrighty then. Just dumb.

I can’t support the idea of being glad we lost. However, I do see value in going through the rough patches early in the season, and making the proper adjustments.

Coordinators matter. The turnover is a big part of this.

Agreed. Presently there is little or no benefit for a Big Ten school to play a strong OOC game. USC shut down the Norte Dame series for that reason. The entire business model of college football has changed.

Good ol’ Lane is always better than people think, but not quite as great as many hope. However, his entertainment value is off the charts. Would I be surprised if he won a Natty at LSU? Nope. Would I be surprised if he flames out? Again, nope. Just an all around fascinating character.

I’m in the Hill Country outside San Antonio. Where are you in NE Texas?

Too many QBs in the room ahead of him. I agree that Kentucky is a likely destination.

That was my first game. I was eight. I kept hearing about “Juice” but had little understanding of what was going on. That’s a good first college football game, I think.

I watched a number of Nebraska games the last couple of years. I have mixed feelings about Raiola. There is certainly talent there. In-game decisions were spotty. So much depends on our OC.

An unqualified yes. Can we even imagine how quickly things would go south with the Jets or the Browns? It seems that the main purpose of both franchises is to ruin promising QB careers. NIL makes this an easier choice as well.

If we win out, we sure won’t be sharing a Natty with Miami like they did. That will for sure muzzle the mutts.

I will always maintain that Saban quit because everyone can now do what he’d been doing for years.

May well be the post of the year.
