  1. That was Oregon’s worst offensive performance since ______. (Fill in the blank)
  2. Oregon’s offensive line play has deteriorated a little every year since Mario Cristobal left.
  3. I hope Coach Lanning is asked in the postgame press conference - why he decided to wait so long before making the switch at QB? What did he see that led him to believe Riola could lead the team to a win today?
  4. Consider yourself lucky! Oregon did score a TD on offense (and then missed the 2 point conversion) but the defense gave them the ball on the 1 yard line. One of the worst offensive performances I’ve seen in the modern era at Oregon. Pathetic.
  5. Raiola was so bad today he might have lost the job next season. Our coaches have to go out and find a top QB in the transfer portal. They cannot go into next season with the current QB room, minus Dante Moore.
  6. Our defense has to be exhausted. Going to have to dig deep.
  7. I like the change going heavy with an offensive lineman as the lead block/full back. Kiddos to the coaches for trying something different, anything.
  8. This offensive line couldn’t block my mom (and let’s just say she’s not in her youth).
  9. I love Akili Smith Jr.’s talent but he is no where near ready, IMO, unless we are ready to run the read-option or wishbone offense. I hope he sticks around at Oregon and can turn into the player his dad was by his senior year.
  10. Neither team wants to win this game. Can we just call is a draw?
  11. Don’t forget all the returning starters and future NFL picks.
  12. Pitiful. You had 2 weeks to prepare and this is the best you could come up with?!
  13. He can even hit a screen. Dude you are not Mahomes and then he runs out of bounds for a loss.
  14. That offensive series was much better until the fumble. Finally some creativity out there. I don’t want to see another WR out or comeback the entire game.
  15. The Oregon d-line came to play with something to prove.
  16. Oregon’s offensive play calling is very uninspiring. Quick outs and comebacks, runs up the middle. Where are the passes to the TE, runs outside with Hill, deep crossing routes, screens?
  17. I’m shocked, but by no means unhappy, that Coach Fisch’s UW team is this bad in his 3rd season.
  18. With Oregon’s excellent cover corners and defensive lineman, it seems like our defense should play man-to-man with one high safety, the overwhelming majority of snaps. Put more players in the box and zone blitz and/or run stunts and twists up front to get to the QB quicker on passing downs. Of course, you have to mix coverages up once in awhile. Most of the passing yards USC gained seemed to be against zone coverage, which Oregon is not executing very well, or well designed plays (e.g., the long passing TD that matched Oregon’s linebacker against one of USC’s best receivers). There are few teams in college football, IMHO, who can consistently beat our CBs. Ohio State being the obvious choice on our remaining schedule.
  19. I would like to thank Coach Altman for everything he did for the Oregon basketball program and wish him the best. I hope his health issues are nothing too serious.
  20. Oregon QB Dante Moore ruled out vs. UCLA as Dylan Raiola nears first Ducks start https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/oregon-qb-dante-moore-unlikely-to-play-vs-ucla-as-dylan-raiola-nears-first-ducks-start/
  21. CBS Sports UCLA-Oregon game preview They seem to like the Ducks in the game. UCLA’s run game is creative and posses a problem for defenses with the number of athletic OL they use, misdirection, etc. One of the analysts mentioned that he didn’t love Oregon’s linebackers and it will be interesting to watch Oregon’s front 7 against UCLA’s OL. However, at the end of the day, they didn’t sound like they believed UCLA was quite there yet to go into Autzen and beat a talented Oregon team.
