Is Dante Leaving For The NFL?
There is no guarantee that he’ll have success in the NFL, even if he used all of his eligibility though. As much as I’d like, as a Ducks fan, to see him return next year, $40-50 million is a lot to turn down and potentially risk.

No. 5 Oregon Hosts No. 12 James Madison Univ. at Autzen for First Round
Would you expect any college football playoff semi-final game to be an “easy game”? Oregon will be by far the most talented team that Texas Tech has faced all season and they will have had an extended layoff heading into that game (which we saw was not an advantage last year). I like their defense front 7 but their offense does not scare me one bit. Their QB is prone to turnovers from what I’ve seen and Oregon has a good secondary. If Oregon executes well and Dante Moore is on, we can beat any team in the country, IMO. I know the team needs the rest and recovery, but the playoffs cannot come soon enough for this fan…

Bear Will Be Back in 2026
Bear got his revenge against USC, now let us hope he gets revenge against his other former team in the national championship game… [Note: I don’t think that Bear had anything bad to say about Georgia or the coaches during the interview I posted above but he was clearly unhappy with what went down at USC…]

Bear Will Be Back in 2026
This is great news for Oregon’s defense next season. Bear has really improved and perhaps he can work himself into the first round with a big season. Barner and Stewart had a nice interview with Bear before the USC game. I believe that he said that he earned his degree.

Coach Lanning’s respond on Notre Dame not making the playoffs: “Well, I think it’s flawed, but, again, the one thing you control is winning. So, anybody that’s complaining that they’re not in [the playoffs] that means they didn’t win enough. Right? So, it’s your fault if you don’t make it. There’s definitely some things that could be different. Are you saying that you would rather play Indiana, Ohio State or Georgia over Texas Tech in the semi-finals?- Notre Dame Football Whining Like Spoiled Child Over CFP Snub
Given the current playoff selection criteria, I would expect the top teams from the B1G and SEC to cancel games with top OOC teams, including ND. The benefit is not worth the risk. Texas might be in the playoff if they didn’t schedule Ohio State and lose.- Indiana DL Stephen Delay Will Miss Playoffs Due to Freak Injury
I haven’t see this posted but Indiana DL Stephen Daley, who led the B1G and tied the most tackles for loss (18) will miss the payoffs due to a freak injury sustained while celebrating the B1G championship game victory with fans. This could be a big blow to Indiana’s championship aspirations, as they are not as deep as other playoff teams and this is an impact player for their very good defense. Thoughts? You left out the best part of Notre Dame’s schedule next season - they only play 3 true road games! All the rest are at home or at neutral sites. https://sports.yahoo.com/articles/notre-dames-2026-football-schedule-141110074.html- It’s A No-Brainer: Notre Dame Deserved It, And…
No team that loses 2 or more games “deserves” anything. At that point, your fate is determined by the committee. Oregon would have been in the exact same position had we lost to USC or Washington. If you want a guarantee, win your games. Furthermore, Notre Dame and the conferences designed and agreed upon this playoff format. Next year, Notre Dame is evidently guaranteed a playoff spot, if they finish in the top 12. What about Oregon or any other team from the major conferences?! Why should Notre Dame get preferential treatment? Of course you can make the case that Notre Dame is more “worthy” than some of the teams selected (e.g., Alabama) but I wouldn’t have put them in over a team with an identical record who beat them on the field…- Michigan Fires Moore.

Jedd Fisch to Michigan?!- A Well Deserved Award for Mr. Mullens!
Mullens is one of the best college football ADs and has been instrumental to Oregon’s success across sports. We are fortunate to have him at Oregon, IMHO. Congratulations on the well-deserved recognition.- Top 25 College NIL Deals: 2025-26
Top 25 college NIL deal estimates, per On3. $6.8M for Arch Manning? Someone should ask for a refund… Not one Oregon Duck on the list despite our rivals saying that Oregon hands out bags of money? (Note: I’m sure that Dante Moore and other Ducks will be on the list next year, if they come back.) Collectives should start linking these NIL deals to on field productivity / results. Thoughts? https://www.foxsports.com/stories/college-football/top-25-college-athletes-highest-nil-valuations- Haloti Ngata Inducted Into the College Hall of Fame
Congratulations to Haloti! One of the all time greats and most dominant Oregon Duck. I remember when he committed to Oregon out of high school. It was a major recruiting coup. He was rated the #1 overall defensive player in the class and he certainly lived up to that in college and the NFL. - Myriad of Topics: Notre Dame, Sixteen Team CFP, and G6 Representation
While it would have been cool to host Notre Dame, I don’t personally care about TV ratings. I want Oregon to win a national championship and having a cupcake “tune-up” is probably the best we all could have hoped for (even over the bye given the current playoff format). Even Coach Lanning indicated as much on the playoff selection show.- No. 5 Oregon Hosts No. 12 James Madison Univ. at Autzen for First Round
Ohio State might have the slightly harder round 2 game as the #2 seed. Georgia will probably play an Ole Miss team that is in turmoil following the Kiffin departure. I could see Miami really fired up and they do have talent, especially on defense. Of course, their HC is a liability but is Ryan Day that much better…- Do the Ducks have a Secret Plan at Backup QB? I hope so!
Actually there is some question and thus this thread. Did Brock Thomas earn it because the coaches knew that Novosad was transferring out or he was a bit banged up? It’s one thing to put a QB in the game when you know the other team can’t score and the game plan is to run the ball. Would Coach Lanning feel as confident with Brock against Indiana, Ohio State or Georgia’s defense? I and others are not so sure…- No. 5 Oregon Hosts No. 12 James Madison Univ. at Autzen for First Round
I really like Oregon’s seeding and potential matchups. (We got the Penn State path this year.) Texas Tech looked the weakest of the top 4 seeds and Ohio State and Georgia would have to play on the other side of the bracket in the semi-finals. We all know that Indiana is a really good football team but we’ve played them once so we have some familiarity. Hopefully the players will be motivated and the coaches learned something from the first game and will make adjustments for match #2. Going to be tough but Oregon is as good and talented as any team in college football. Just need to bring our A game and execute. - Notre Dame Football Whining Like Spoiled Child Over CFP Snub
