On3/Rivals recruiting insider Steve Wiltfong reported that there's another five-star worth monitoring amid Guerrant's commitment. "Glassboro (N.J.) New NIL Data Shows What Oregon Ducks Are Competing With
Recruiting is a game of balancing, especially with NIL offers, and a recent report of NIL payouts across the nation potentially shows what the Oregon Ducks compete with while trying to bring in top talent. It's a well known assertion that recruiting for college football teams over the past decade continues to evolve into an increasingly intricate business deal more than just a simple university and athlete fit. As lawmakers scramble to find ways to regulate these deals, and universities attempt to keep up with the ever-mounting prices to secure top talent, a new report potentially shows the prices the Oregon Ducks compete with on the recruiting trail. Estimated NIL Prices For The Class of 2026According to The NIL Standard, an independent NIL valuation group, NIL valuations for athletes can range from six to seven figures, depending on that athlete's talent. To determine these numbers, they compiled data from CBS Sports' general manager and agent survey and ESPN's portal reporting. Though these numbers are estimated, they give a glimpse into the financial world the Oregon Ducks are navigating while trying to compete in the Big Ten and the College Football Playoff. By looking at these numbers and comparing them with the NIL valuations of previous years, it's safe to say the Ducks are staying competitive, and that's with only being a half-share member of the Big Ten Conference Oregon Ducks On SINew NIL Data Shows What Oregon Ducks Are Competing WithIt's a well known assertion that recruiting for college football teams over the past decade continues to evolve into an increasingly intricate business deal mor

The Panic Offer That Never CameA weekend that once looked like it could reshape Oregon’s defensive line board lost some of its shine before it even arrived. Marcus Fakatou canceled his Oregon visit. Kasi Currie eliminated the Ducks and moved forward elsewhere. Two of the premier West Coast defensive linemen in the 2027 class were suddenly off the board, and even if both had long been considered more likely to land somewhere else, there was still a sting to those decisions. That is recruiting. Sometimes the long shot stays a long shot. Sometimes the visit never happens. Sometimes the board tells you what was probably true all along. I wrote about some of that yesterday in the premium edition of Sunday Morning Sidewalk, because there is a natural reaction when the board takes a hit. Oregon should just go all in on Brayden Parks this weekend. Whatever it takes. Whatever number gets it done. Whatever keeps Notre Dame from winning another battle. That sounds good for about a split second. Then the actual math of recruiting takes over. This week’s Inside Read is about the thing Oregon has not done since those defensive line losses. The Ducks have not flooded the board with panic offers. They have not suddenly started chasing every secondary or tertiary defensive tackle target in the 2027 class. They have not acted like a staff that was surprised by the outcome. That matters. So let’s go 3-2-1. 3 thoughts on the defensive line board1. Brayden Parks is worth what Brayden Parks is worth2. Oregon’s lack of panic offers is the real tell3. Big 12 pursues legal action against Texas Tech, Texas Attorney General in Brendan Sorsby caseThe Big 12 seeks clarity in its authority to enforce bylaws after a previous judge granted the Texas Tech QB an injunction to play in 2026 despite gambling on his team's gamesThe Big 12 has filed a legal complaint against Texas Tech seeking to confirm its authority to enforce conference bylaws if the school plays quarterback Brendan Sorsby this season, setting up an unusual legal fight between a league and one of its members. The 47-page complaint, obtained by CBS Sports and filed Monday in the Northern District of Texas, names Texas Tech, the Texas Tech University System, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, and several school officials as defendants. The conference is asking for declaratory and injunctive relief to prevent what it describes as outside interference with its governance structure. At issue is whether the Big 12 can impose internal discipline on a member institution while state officials threaten legal action over that same conduct. https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/big-12-legal-action-brendan-sorsby-texas-tech-texas-attorney-general/

My Poor Duckies! (Summer Depression)
Collin Clarke becomes first big portal entry for Oregon baseballRight-handed pitcher Collin Clarke entered the transfer portal on Saturday, according to MLB Draft scouting outlet Over-Slot Baseball. Clarke, a two-year starter for the Ducks, spent most of the 2026 season as the Saturday starter for Oregon. He thrived at first in the weekend rotation, tossing at least six innings in six of his first eight starts. However, teams barreled him up often, especially toward the end of the season. Clarke was demoted to the bullpen after a rough outing on the road against UCLA. The junior arm finished the season with a 4.92 ERA and made five appearances out of the bullpen to end the season. His fiery demeanor on the mound routinely irked Oregon's opponents, but Clarke backed it up with 151 strikeouts over his three-year career with the Ducks. Clarke throws five pitches, but primarily uses a low-90s fastball and a slider with some decent movement. Despite a rough season in Eugene, Clarke has some professional potential and will have to decide this summer whether or not he will sign with an MLB organization or transfer for his senior season. The news of Clarke's intention to leave the program marks the third departure for the Ducks this offseason, but the first with real playing time last season. Infielder Tyler Holley and catcher Blake Sandvik have also entered the portal https://duckswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/college/ducks/baseball/2026/06/14/oregon-baseball-collin-clarke-transfer-portal/90541918007/
