And then we stranded two base runners....It is not over yet, but.... Mr. OBD

Monday at 04:28 AM2 days No. I found it very surprising to hear the announcers mention that the Ducks have only made it to the CWS 1 time, but found it even more surprising that this is in large part due to the fact that the Oregon baseball program was disbanded in 1981 and didn’t restart the program until 2009! I had no idea about this.

Monday at 05:45 AM2 days Moderator No. Far better effort. The team played hard all season. Keep knocking on the door, and one day it will open. Thanks again, Charles, for the terrific coverage of the Diamond Ducks.
Monday at 05:50 PM2 days No. If you had told me before the season began that our Ducks would finish 3rd in the B1G, be the runner-up in the conference championship, win a regional and advance to a super regional I would have been stoked. Those are fine accomplishments that this current team achieved. Unfortunately, they fell short against Texas. Oregon's Achilles heel has been their pitching and inability to get runners home. Against the Longhorns their were 16 walks, 5 wild pitches, 1 balk, 6 hit batters and a whopping 24 guys left on base. Even with the pitching woes, I can't help think that with a few well place hitsthe Ducks would have won at least one of these games. But baseball can be a funny game. Look no further that the UCLA Bruins, ranked 1st all year long, only to lose at home in a regional. And # 2 Georgia Tech was also eliminated. All in all, it was a good season. Hats off to Coach Waz and the team. Go Ducks!
