I would add Haloti Ngata. The guy was a beast, and nobody can handle him one on one. He is the guy that makes so many other players look good, including our DC.

Might as well stack the deck, and leave no doubt who has the #1 defense.

Tough to not pick Haloti. Running down a screen against 1,300 yard RB Wendell Mathis in 2005 at 340 pounds.

Really tough. My first instinct was Marcus, I mean, I’m 90% confident in Dante, but Marcus actually won the Heisman and a semi-final playoff game, hard to pass on that.

But we have also had a number of playoff runs (including last year and Marcus’ run) where we have run out of skill players. Given how loaded we are on D, I’d probably go with James or DAT, toss up.

This is an O O season for SC. Two program-defining home games vs. OBD and Ohio State. And UW will also be tough to defeat in LA.

With Riley's B1G (more like little) road record of 2-7, I don't see SC sweeping road games at Rutgers, Penn State (White Out!), Wisconsin, Indiana, and UCLA.

What happens with all the stud recruits and recruiting in general if SC finishes 8-4? Will SC come up with $10 million to get rid of Riley?

This is a fun exercise. If restricted to the list, DAT would be thrilling but our greatest need is proven QB play in Mariota. His mobility is also light years ahead of Moore's.

If we could go back and grab ANY player, our greatest need is LB and I would swoop up Kiko Alonso as the #1 person who could provide the biggest impact to this 2026 roster.

I will go with D'Anthony Thomas. Lightening in a bottle. He could turn any game on end with just one play. Thinking about the kickoff return at the Fiesta Bowl!
