8 hours ago8 hr Administrator No. Let's get the discussion going....I am still speechless considering how good the team looked after the first quarter, compared to how bad they looked in previous losses....wow! Mr. OBD
8 hours ago8 hr No. Buckeye and Smith got completely dismantled. Smith had 63 yard and no td going into garbage time. The stats won't tell the story. Some will use them to show Oregon isn't good defensively. Don't let them get away with it
8 hours ago8 hr Author Administrator No. 🤔 Hmm, Two in a row for Oregon playing Ohio State at their home field. Go Ducks!Just a couple of fun videos at Ohio State's expense:
5 hours ago5 hr No. Almost great coaching to go up 38 - 24. But after that, Oregon would run the ball into the box with no intention of even gaining a yard. They were 2nd and 10 all game long. Ohio St could not cover Oregon receivers. The runs up the middle were automatic failures. It is good that Ohio St imploded and played so poorly. Lets hope the new OC does not continue to do that. Lets hope something changes by next week. The other "negative" I have is how bad Perich was the first quarter. Why does he still play?A third neg would be trying the 53 yd field goal - out of his range and lower temps. Should have tried to get a first down. The positives I have are everything else the team did. Very good D line play. Linebackers were very "active" like they should be. OSU QB was "contained" mostly. No big runs. Those "hits" by Ify. OOOOOOOHHHH!!! I think the long bomb to Jeramiah was vs subs at end of game, so can't say much about that. But he was contained most of game.OSU receivers did not beat the Ducks like they usually beat all other teams. Ducks did not let them run the ball. On offense, I am not faulting the O line for lack of running attack. Those running plays did not have a chance. Need to go back to drawing board. 5 O linemen, no fullback, smaller/athletic TE, tiny WRs, 1 RB who does not run people over or make them miss. And no zone read threat from QB. Hill can break an occasional arm tackle, but he can't run through a wall. Raiola gutted out a good game for him. He had some bad moments, but he did not let the game get away from him. Coaching was not perfect, but some great calls were made that impacted the game. Passing plays were called that OSU was totally out of position for. The Buckeye DC got burned. After the 1st qtr, Ducks got stops when they needed them and shut out OSU for a very long time. That took the crowd out of it and made them go home early. OSU was beatable. No more Caleb Downs. No more Sonny Styles. No more fierce pass rush. They only have one great receiver. Their backup QB was below average. Their O line could not run block any better than Oregon's. I'd like to see Trad Ball play more and the Ducks work on plays to get him the ball in space. Hill running it up the middle was like CJ Verdell running it up the middle - if a hole is present, that is only when it works. They got Brandon the ball in space once or twice and OSU had no answer for it. Overall, I would give the game ball to the new OC. What a change from Mehringer.
5 hours ago5 hr No. Wish I could have watch the game had to work. Looks like it was a great game anyways great to have it to the Bucknuts.
3 hours ago3 hr No. I loved the game! But I'm really tired of the terrible refereeing in the B1G. It's easily as bad as the PAC12. Hmm, I wonder if they'd hire a slightly decrepit 81-year-old who could not do any worse??

Dude literally pursues correctly the whole quarter. Later zooms in on a TFL. So now he needs to tackle better. But if he pursues like that from now on, do you realize how much that shores up the run defense?Oh, and that catch by Jeremiah Smith? Ohio State WRs have scored TDs with that much separation the past three years. Koi recovered and defended the pass. And if I recall correctly, it wasn't thrown behind Smith. I WANT THAT FROM KOI. No TDs given up, proper pursuit angles. Dude is very fast. And if this is an indication, he is using his speed to his advantage. Tackling can be cleaned up in practice. You see a negative. I see a positive. All due respect, I have no problem with Koi's performance today.
